If you pre-order from Best Buy for store-pickup, Best Buy likes to slap stickers on their items so watch out.

Looks great, but this hardware really needs a processor/GPU upgrade.

they are charging $10 more because the game also costs $10 more..... but it doesn't even come with a game

Red card discount and Target will actually ship the damn thing instead of making me go pick it up. Seems like a win.

I expect this to be available as much as the Animal Crossing Edition, although, this series has a better recognition than Animal Crossing so it depends on how much Nintendo wants to manufacture it. If it helps in sales, I don't see them holding back. If you are buying this to scalp, you're probably not going to make much and just end up returning it. If you're buying for collecting, this thing will probably go up in value a decade from now. Just the Zelda editions for the portable consoles (DS and 3DS) are really high even used. but those were really limited in manufacturing.

Wait, no game? Should I cancel my order or just resell this?
Good lord, guy. Did you really think you were getting an OLED Zelda branded Switch AND a $70 game for $359 when the regular OLEDs cost $349???

This is Zelda though, and a premium model system at that. Seriously doubt 6 months from now this will still be on store shelves.
This will only be true if after 6 months, they annouce a new Switch. Otherwise, they'll probably just keep pumping out these editions. Unless they explicitly say limited to ###, they've historically been rereleasing these special editions. A good example would be the Animal Crossing switch. They were heavily scalped at first release, but Nintendo has since flooded the market with them.

Pokemon and Splatoon edition was also sold out for a while, and now there are plenty.

I have no doubt that while the Zelda edition will at first be sold out, it will come back into stock a few months later.

Just pointing out that your post fuels more scalping. No idea if this console will be limited at all yet.
Hard to say, they randomly choose to make a lot of some of these special editions, occasionally months later. Target usually sells out after a single offering with any hot console, hence the 'get it quick.' - I've never had good success with Zelda-themed stuff. I'm in for 1.

As for scalpers... If they do care about reading comments, then I'm sad that they don't know much about what they're looking to buy ahead of time.

It's not ridiculous. The OLED Switch can often be found for less than $300 now, and the game is $50 at nintendo.com if you buy vouchers.
No where do you find an OLED Switch for LESS than $300 LOL. Refurbs even are $310 at Best Buy. But that's Refurbs not new ones.

Are they also having the pro controller on pre-order? I can't find it on the search.

Do you guys really think scalpers will get these?
Normally yest, but maybe not this time. It's been up for a while and that seems to be thanks to their new 'hot item' cue and account/address checking. I tried to get a second one for a friend who was having setting up a BB account for the purchase (likely also for scalping protection) and it got blocked. 1 per address, even if a pickup order it seems. - I'm all for it.

OLED is a premium model compared to the base model.

it's literally the same console bar a different screen and 64gb of memory....
is it made out of magnesium or machined aluminium?

it's not even a more powerful model like the past PS4 & XONE had

Looking to get one too. I missed out on the Best Buy preorder window and had to resort to Gamestop, but would rather get it from Target.
