About this Item:
The Nintendo Switch – OLED Model - The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Edition system features a design inspired by the Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom game, including the familiar Hylian Crest from the Legend of Zelda series on the front of the dock (game not included).
I just successfully got in line and pre-ordered one for local pickup in Utah.
Order before the scalpers do, if you're planning on getting one!
I wish you all a wonderful Tuesday & GOOD LUCK!! ^_^
I know this will be a collectible and probably fetch north of $500 some day but man, I echo the sentiment that this hardware is really aging. It was slow in 2017 and even slower today. I really hope we see a revision to the hardware soon, when in reality the tegra chip inside is from late 2015…
Amen... I just worry the next one will semi-suck hardware wise also. It really needs to have some form of DLSS and back compat with current games with upscaling tech for them... I'd bite then.
Thanks, I only use red card for these types of purchase anymore, and this is very helpful. And not only that but you get a MUCH longer return date if unopened (1 year I believe)

Switch 2 will almost 100% have DLSS trick to get fake 4K so they can market that. And obviously the hardware will be like a 2 year old cell phone chip. Only a fool would think Nintendo is going to have some state-of-the-art chip that competes head to head with the iPhone 16 powerwise. And sure Steam Deck has 16gb quad channel ram but no way in piss Nintendo does that. Especially since the Xbox Series S has 10gb.
I expect maybe a 4X more powerful chip then the current switch and 8-10gb of ram and 128gb internal memory(64gb also a good chance, I wouldn't put it past Nintendo to be cheap). The screen will most likely be OLED and 720P I would be actually quite shocked if it's better than 720p. And if it is better 900P not 1080p. I wouldn't even put a past Nintendo to have the same seven inch 720p oled screen as the current switch OLED. Maybe they will even do 7.2 inch and even worse ppi lol. I have been thinking that it would be more costly to add this feature but it would be very cool Nintendo type gimmick and that would be some type of wirelessly playing the switch on the TV while undocked. That would bring more gameplay possibilities with using the switch. Almost like the Wii U. Now granted that would cost more to have that built into the dock connected to everybody's TV. But this thing's going to cost more than the regular switch guaranteed.
$399 Oct/Nov 2024 I expect for the Switch 2. Nintendo I doubt will go $499. That's just too pricey for Nintendo. No chance in heck it's $299 or even $349.
I also think Nintendo might include a game with the Switch 2 like the Wii and Wii U. Something that shows off it's new gimmick and features. I know the switch did not come with a game at launch but Nintendo was in a very poor spot. Wii U sold like trash and they were kind of going back to their roots. You play it either undocked like a game boy or play a docked like a GameCube and that was it. So I don't think they needed a game to show off the Switch. The gimmick worked for everyone by just docking it and undocking it. So my guess is the Switch 2 will have a new type of gimmick (possibly wireless docking capability) Mario Kart 9 could be played by 5 people 4 on TV and 1 on the Dock. It will include some type of game to show this off and get people use to it and then sell Mario Kart 9 for $69.99 with the feature.
I also believe Metroid Prime 4 will be a launch game for the Switch 2. It will also same day come to the regular Switch. It will be a good game to show off the new DLSS 4K trickery. It will look nice and shiny and have better textures.
Buy now so you sell for a loss once the Switch 2 is announced at E3
1. E3 is trash Nintendo doesn't care about E3 at all.
2. Switch 2 is not till Oct/Nov 2024
3. Let's come back to this comment next year when it's announced around June/July 2024.

Umm, it's no slower today than it was at launch. In fact, games tend to perform better now after years of optimizations and developers learning to push the hardware. People are too blinded by specs. The Switch delivers fun, beautiful games that you can play at home or take with you. That's what matters.
More powerful hardware will come along when it's ready. There's nothing good that can come from rushing it.
