Pretty good stuff when putting it on hot, freshly drained pasta. Just don't ever reheat it - will taste terrible then.

Not sure how the price compares to Aldi these days considering inflation, but I'm glad to see some easily delivered pesto for what seems to be an OK price... Aldi has not had pesto in stock at all lately locally for me

Do yourself a favor and buy fresh DOP pesto. It is much much better. Costco and Sams have a large jar for $9.99

Haven't tried the Sams/Costco, but this is the second best of the normal grocery store pestos (Mezzeta is best).

Normaly $3.50-$4.50 near me, so seems like a good price.

It's $3.99 on sale at Kroger right now. I'm sure it could be had for a bit cheaper but with max subscription puts this at 2.12. Good deal for me

Amazing price. Even when Publix has it on sale, it's like $2.70 or so. This is one of the few pestos at Publix that uses olive oil as opposed to some less healthy oils.

Tastes good. I use it whenever I make my favorite recipe here: https://tasty.co/recipe/one-pan-g...esto-pasta

They also have a good sun-dried tomato pesto as well. I use that sometimes in lieu of this pesto to shake things up a bit. Or I'll cut up some sun-dried tomatoes and top the dish with them.

YMMV but I had a 35% off coupon option for some reason that also stacked with the S&S. Total came to $1.49.

While the fresh pesto might be a little more expensive. It tastes much better. Pesto doesn't taste the same after few days of making it so imagine what a non-fresh jar would taste like?!

Lastly, DOP pesto is the legit pesto! Made the with proper local Italian ingredients, made the proper way, and no fillers.

This price is comparable to ALDI and Lidl. Personally, I prefer Trader Joe's pesto (which is around $2.70, I think?) but all these are pretty similar. I tried the allegedly better pesto from Costco but didn't like it at all. It also comes in a huge expensive jar that you somehow need to use up in just a few days.

This inexpensive pesto can be used to doctor up many dishes and leftovers. My go-to lunch has been leftover pasta + some frozen leftover rotisserie chicken + frozen peas + jarred pesto. Delicious and super easy to put together. I also add it to hot fresh ravioli (sold at Aldi, Trader Joe's, Costco, etc.) for a quick dinner. Some shredded parmesan on top, wine and candles and you got yourself a celebration. I also spread it on hot sandwiches, "adult grilled cheese" and always have an "emergency pesto jar" in my pantry. This is a good price and good quality product.

Anything with cashews instead of pine nuts should not be called pesto.

I could go through gallons of Costco pesto every month

Once a year they unload expiring pesto for a few bucks in my region. I only caught it once three years ago. Bought out 30+ jars. threw them in the freezer. heaven.
