I already own 2x 16gb of these. Jeez at this price I might buy another set of gray ones just to fill out my board's ram slots and have 64 GB of ram for no actual reason!
I hear those Anus boards only have one slot though.

I have a custom AMD system that I built running 3200 megahertz memory. What is the danger of overclocking to 3600?

I'm not sure I would say there's a danger to overclocking to 3600 from 3200 memory. But, for most intents and purposes it's the same to the system, 3200cl16 vs 3600cl18. However, Ryzen 1xxx and 2xxx series were finicky about RAM speeds, so often they wouldn't boot much past 3000 or 3200. Often Ryzen 3xxx series would be fine with 3200 but sometimes not 3600. By Ryzen 5xxx series, it would boot at 3200 or 3600. There is a big advantage to 3600 since the infinity clock would be synced with 3600 RAM in a correct ratio.

One thing you can do is. Buy this RAM, and clock it to your first set of RAM's speed. Nothing lost or gained, essentially same as your earlier configuration, just 32GB of extra RAM. You could just adjust it via XMP or manually to the 3600's speed as a second option, and see if it works, but if you get crashes, then you know why.

If you're not familiar with your BIOS, take pictures of the setting pages, and/or save a copy of your configuration (if your motherboard supports it) to quickly get it back to a working condition.

I already have all my slots populated 4x8Gb, are there any benefits to have 2x16Gb?

Keep in mind it depends on the cpu and motherboard but...
Usually ddr4 3600 at cl18 is pretty much the same speed as 3200 at cl 16. The memory speeds will be pretty similar. I don't think you will see any tangible performance gain.

The CL16 version has had a significant increase in price very recently.

I have the same setup and I 100% agree I was thinking about doing the same thing, just because the price is so low, knowing that I don't have anything that needs 64gb of memory

Did anyone who purchased either the 32GB or the 64GB kits have any issues?

Not all are sold out..
