"Joe's New Balance Outlet" is actually operated by New Balance. There is no dude named "Joe". It's just a marketing ploy to create separation from the main www.newbalance.com webpage. When NB has old stock they need to move quickly they send it to their bricks and mortars outlet stores and also post it on their separate Joe's Outlet website and on the eBay store of the same name. Joe's is what industry insiders refer to as an "off-price" retailer. You're probably familiar with 6pm, which is Zappos's off-price sales channel. Nordstrom has the Nordstrom Rack. Even high end retailer Saks operates an off-price outlet called Saks Off Fifth. You can get good deals on yesteryear's styles at these off-price retailers but with Joe's I think their customer service and return policy is lousy. If you know for sure that a particular NB shoe model will work for you then I'd go for it. Buying a an additional pair of shoes that you already use and like? Fine. But I wouldn't take the risk with a shoe you're not familiar with. If you end up not liking it you'll have to pay $25+ to return it. Nonrefundable. Then have to followup and badger NB customer service to process the return.

This is not a good eBay seller to experiment with new shoes. NB on eBay is largely unresponsive to messages. They make the customer responsible for return shipping. The Asics eBay store and most other reputable merchants cover return shipping and provide a label.

I like New Balances, very comfy. I'm not buying this, but yes, I recommend it.

Not sure if the official new balance is different because this is Joe outlet.

Its the American way, so relax the whine already...
Fortunately for the rest of us, it's not a deal breaker for everyone here. We actually found 2 pairs for my son & I.
