Looks like Amazon, sweetwater and fender has them in stock at the sale price as well.
From what I can tell the sonoran would be the winner out of the two. They appear to be the same guitar (build wise, minor differences in looks) but the neck on the sonoran is mahogany vs nato wood on the redondo. Nato wood is a bit cheaper. From reviews I've read I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
EDIT: Please disregard. Apparently Amazon (where I got my information) conflicts with what is on the Fender website. It looks like the sonoran has a nato neck as well. I would definitely go with the source and trust the information on the fender website.

First of all, per Fender website, they both have a nato neck.
The actual differences are:
- Redondo Mini has ½ body size; 22 ¾" scale length, while the Sonoran Mini has ¾ body size; 24.1" scale length. So the Redondo is smaller than the Sonoran.
- Redondo mini is only available with Spruce top, while Sonoran Mini is available with Spruce or mahogany top

I'd really like to think Fender is correct, BUT — the Fender page for the Sonoran Mini also says that it's an acoustic-electric guitar:
"The Strat-style 6-in-line headstock imparts Fender's rock-and-roll attitude into this acoustic-electric instrument."
So… if it were a 24.1" scale and acoustic-electric, that's a very different thing than 23.3" scale and acoustic-only.

It's actually a lot of fun to play with a good sound.
is not meant for kids exclusively but if that is your use case it will work.
