Haven't had this one specifically but have tried a ton of dash cams and the best Ive used where the roav brand cams. They have the simplest app/ cam controls out of all I've used. I ended up getting roav cams in all my vehicles and have even gifted 2 more. Some of these cheap cams work great but the headache of figuring how to recover footage or the quality of the cam itself are always a gamble.

Got this last time it was this price, it's nothing special but I'm pleased with it. Haven't had any problems with it not recording. G-sensor is super sensitive even on low setting, so you'll need a decent size card so you don't keep formatting it all the time (I have a 128gb in it, I format every 3 weeks or so). I actually like the blue color mirror, to me it is cheap looking but not tacky. If you're on a budget and just want a camera for simple piece of mind, this will get the job done.

I've did the same. Got one for each car including my moms car. Easiest setup and go. Great video which I've pulled off once for a wreck in front of me. I bought two of the refurb versions as well for about $20-$30 less.

I'd recommend one with a rear facing camera as well.

I've been rear ended twice in two years.

Keep in mind this model is 11 inches wide. Many vehicles you put this over your rear view mirror and your sun visors won't clear it, rendering the sun visors useless.

The video is too low quality. You can't even read tge plates off the vehicle. And it's frame rate is really slow. Pass, spend a few $ more for a better unit.
