The judgement series has the smoothest combat out of all the games. Ishin feels clunky at times and switching styles is kinda slow and not fluid like judgement.
Ishin's combat is slower paced and uses different weapons for styles. There is a lot of crafting you can do for new gear. It can become a grind if you want the best stuff or are a completionist, but I never had issues running lower tier weapons.
Storywise, I enjoyed ishin a lot more. They brought in a lot of the best characters/voice actors from past games, so it kinda felt like everything
was on a grand scale.
I'm 30 hours in and only completed about 2/3 of the story and substories. It's a lot fun but combat isn't as deep as the Yakuza/Judgment. And the unreal engine makes the combat janky and really hard (almost impossible) to pull off specials. If you're a fan of RGG then get this. I feel it's worth it at $60.
