What's this adjustable weights deal? I'm not a gamer, and I don't like a heavy mouse. I can't imagine someone with ridiculously fast reflexes wanting anything but the lightest mouse possible. Is this just marketing crap, or do I just not get it?

Some people like a heavier mouse as it allows for higher precision especially when playing shooter games

Basically, yes. The ability to add weight to your mouse is a trend from many years ago. I'm not sure which manufacturer(s) started it, but I always found it extremely silly. You'll also have a hard time finding any newer (good) gaming mice that still use this feature. These days it's all about making the mouse as light as humanly possible. Even this has reached extreme levels of ridiculousness at this point. Personally, I think anything in the 60-80g range or so is perfectly fine.

FWIW, this mouse weighs in at 92g without any weights installed. That's very heavy by today's standards. It also uses a pretty cheap sensor that isn't the greatest. I wouldn't call this a gaming mouse, at least it's not up to snuff with anything released in the past 5 years or so. It's only $10 though, so... good backup mouse to throw in a backpack?

Yeah, I picked one up as a backup/travel/DGAF-about-it mouse. It looks comfy, and it's cheap. I also want the clutch wheel, though I'm absolutely spoiled with the Logitech MX Master 3's mag-clutch wheel - I know I'll be disappointed, but I don't like the idea of using a $100 mouse as a knockabout device.

The dude before you makes sense about a weighty mouse helping to dampen shake, but I'm not convinced that really great gamers have much shake, or to that the trade-off is worth it (though as I said before, I'm not a gamer) On top of that, it seems like if a person needs weight, that wouldn't be difficult to add to any mouse. I wouldn't pay extra for that, but at $10ish, I don't think I'm paying for much of anything.

From the top critical Newegg review for this mouse, dated 03/11/2023:
Quote :
THIS MOUSE CANNOT HANDLE MORE THAN 2 INPUTS AT A TIME.

Overall Review: I would have gladly recommended this mouse as many others have, but the fact that it acts like a bad membrane keyboard with 2 key rollover is a complete deal-breaker.
