I have this for my synology 4 bay. I came from a brand new 6 Tb red plus from WD. Noise level were the same. I was happy with my purchase. No issues so far and it's been over 2 months.

Hmmm just pulled the trigger on 2 from the goharddrive deal for hs520. I wonder which is likely to have less use. These are backups to a raid really just occasional archival use so not mission critical but hate dealing with returns :p

Is there going to be a daily post from the same vendor who has had these recert drives forever? How do these keep making it to FP is beyond me with there being no actual deal these are the everyday prices.

They pay influencers to post for them.

There was one one reddit just yesterday that got called out. You could tell it was the same guy behind multiple accounts because he always used the same pattern in the subject or something.

Some of us just want SD restored to a better quality site.
These 3-4% discounts shouldn't be constantly posted, especially when "everyone" knows about SPD already and all their subsidiaries and shady practices.
$130/14TB is their current normal price.
$120/14TB is when a post will get more appreciation from home-server folks.

Hoharddrive has a very similar WD drive for $110 ($100 last week, as posted here). Although it's listed as a HC 520, it's got to be a HC 530, since they didn't make 520's in 14TB. Also, based on the the model number listed on GHD, it has the power disable feature. If you have older system or power supply, you might need a cheap power adapter to make it work in your system.

Both $100 and $110 are the cheapest we've ever seen for a 14TB drive. I totally would have bought that (especially at $100!) if I didn't already have a 12TB one sitting on the shelf unused.
