Fantastic game. I just bought it for a few dollars a week ago, and on Wednesday night I looked up and realized I had been playing it for more than 3 hours straight! If you like card based games like DungeonTop, or you enjoy RPG's where you slowly improve your characters, you'll probably like this one.

It's a cool game. I got hooked on it for awhile. You have a squad of three. You build a deck for each squad member by equipping weapons and mods to them. It's not very well explained by the game but there's there's a lot of freedom to how you build up your squad.

You take your squad in derelict spaceships and explore. You have limited energy. While you're moving you just a point moving around a grid map. You cant see what's around you unless scan which uses energy. You can also sneak to ambush enemies or run to save energy.

Combat starts out pretty straight forward but gets more interesting as your different classes built up. You can summon different drones, hack shields and all sorts of sci-fi stuff you don't usually see in a deck builder.

The game has a bare bones over arching story but you meet lots weird characters in the derelicts with just really strange side quests.

Overall I think it's an interesting and well thought out game with some flaws. I did run into quite a few bugs where I'd get stuck in menus or nothing would happen after combat was over. I never really lost much progress but it was annoying. I played on steam deck but it seems like a lot people had similar issues.

If you like the base game I'd recommend the dlcs. The base game feels like it needs some added content. The base game feels like it needs some added content. They add new enemies, locations, adds raider and friendly(ish) bases inside the derelicts, and a crafting system that is way better than waiting to get lucky on random drops.

This game looks fascinating. The two DLCs are on sale for $1.04 each, I just went ahead and bought them.

edit: I also bought some other games while I was in there. So these giveaways do make them money lol laugh out loud

If you like crafting, I highly recommend adding the "Station Life" expansion, or the Definitive Edition. With either, you'll gain the ability to take items that you find, break them down into their components, and from then on you'll be able to try crafting items on your own, and try 'rolling' for the cards that permanently glom onto them 3 times. It's an interesting way to adapt your gameplay more to your liking over time.
