I'm at Lowe's at least once a week and have been watching these slowly drop in price within a few months. I finally caved when I saw them for less than $10 and grabbed a few of the 3-1/8 screws and the last 2-1/2 they had on the shelf. I use GRK for almost all of my projects and at this price it's a steal, IMO. Definitely YMMV.

Yrp, got restocked on various sizes in-store, plus that 25 lb tub.

Only found 1 5/8 available for shipping, which is better than 1 1/4 for a lot of jobs. Oh well, 25 lbs of 2" goes a long way...

That's the nature of "YMMV" deals.. if you can't "confirm" there's a decent quantity on hand by using brickseek or their website's stock indicator, it's usually not going to be worth the trip to try.

i screwed up i got 2 boxes of the 3 1/8 a week or so ago for 9 a box. i Found the 2 1/2 at 12 a box and only grabbed one, should have grabbed the other one but it happens.

It looks like this deal is still going on but for HUTTIG-GUARD. Even with shipping it is 3x less than my local big box for 25lbs of screws.

you can also call. The "dont call" rule doesnt really apply to Lowes. Its not like the electronics deals at Target where the little pukes behind the counter had just as much of an interest in buying. The girl at cs can care less about exterior wood screws.
