these drives are supposed to have 5 year warranty when "new" but site says 3.

Is there anything special to do with regards to power or head parking?
In some of the threads people are talking about putting tape over something due to power, not sure if these drives need that as well

No one has had a problem getting their products from these guys including me and I've been very happy with their prices and products.
I bought four Seagate Exos X18 ST12000NM000J 12TB 7.2K RPM SATA 6Gb/s 3.5in Recertified Hard Drives for $105/each in December. All were brand new, 0 hours, sealed, packaged and shipped with great concern using a box inside another box even.
No one has had a problem getting their products from these guys including me and I've been very happy with their prices and products.

Maybe guys can tell us the date drive was created.
Does it have retail box? I'm used to saying Brand New item somewhere on purchase. Is this WD warranty or 3rd party vendor?
