Better price per GB and rated speeds than the 400GB SanDisk deal. PNY is also a well known maker of memory products.

Getting one for my Steam Deck.

PNY has a higher chance of dying than Samsung or SanDisk. It has a shorter life span.

Posted this in another thread where this was brought up but Amazon is probably price matching B&H Photo. You'll have better luck of getting a non-fake item from B&H.

Sources? Serious question. Personally, I've had worse luck with SanDisk.

My understanding is that Amazon commingles it's own stock and all FBA stock (3rd party sellers - fullfilled by amazon). Not sure if that's still true, but counterfeits have spoiled me off of Amazon for most things.

I gave pny a chance and the card died. Never had a sandisk or Samsung die. I wonder if their qc is worse.

Same. My pny broke when bent in half couldn't believe it. I ran over my Samsung memory card with a car then hit it with a hammer and it was fine. Pny needs better qc

No matter where you buy memory cards, flash drives, etc, always test them with software like H2TESTW (freeware). It will tell you the true capacity, the read and write speeds and whether any of the blocks are bad. This way you can tell immediately if the item is a counterfeit or even partially gone bad

I have tried using H2TESTW on large sizes and I could not get it to complete, so slow. Anyone else had the same experience?
