Switched from the other $399 Maytag for this, much nicer looking. Rather have the third rack and one less thing to break like the food grinder. Hope it works well, thanks for posting

Any experts chime in on this vs a budget Bosche unit (which seem to have a good reputation)?

but that maytag seems to be a better deal. maytag model is onsale for $600 -$700 (typical) everywhere else while this whirlpool is only $100 in savings compared to other retail stores

You know you're an experienced SDer when you don't trust the sale price on the retailers site (ie $520 off) and instead you look at what you can buy it for elsewhere to know what your REAL savings is 😀😀

It seems you spend a $100 more for only $50 more of value, but I think this has a higher real MSRP normally? Maybe not, and maybe it's older.

Honestly, I want the third rack and I don't want the chopper and the chance of having to replace it. The third rack is real convenient and for something I'm going to keep for hopefully 10 years the styling on this one blows the other one away controls wise and logo wise.

Yeah, I hear you though. If my kitchen wasn't as nice as it is I'd go with the $399.

Only other benefit here is 47db on this one vs 50db, but 50 is plenty quiet versus what I have now.

trying to match my whirlpool fridge too. missed the last $400 whirlpool dishwasher because they limited $200 off once per account. so i jumped on the fridge instead.

i re check that $400 thread again. looks like its a cheaper and louder model. so this one isnt that bad.

My wife insisted on having a 3rd rack so even though i had originally bought that $400 deal in feb i had to cancel it. Then last week i jumped on the $599 deal on this one since it was only $20 more expensive then its best price on this unit ever from costco. Had it installed earlier this week - called costco to price adjust, they did so very happy.

Just FYI that $400 deal from feb was for a plastic tub and without a 3rd rack.

The maytag deal also looks attractive with the steel but no third rack was a deal killer.

This one has steel tub, third rack, flex tines etc so really looks like this is the best deal with steel tub and third rack you can get anywhere and i have been tracking for a year best deal with those features at costco - and with free installation a no brainer.

The installation was super breezy - if i had to, i could have probably done it, but it would have taken me four times longer and i would have likely damaged something.

Its superquiet at 47db unlike our last dishwasher- cant even tell if it is running and my wife is happy with the cleaning.

Maytag has 10 parts warranty. This has a ton of reviews of a lot of the parts needing to be replaced.

does this dishwasher have a quick rinse feature ? I had a Kitchenaid that have the rinse and hold feature; it was nice to do a quick rinse without doing a full cycle wash

I have a Boesch that I bought 18 months ago. Was a closeout in white which is what I wanted. Love it. Third rack is great and it's quiet. 42 db. The Maytag was 50. The quieter the model to me is an indicator of the quality. One thing. I paid nearly $300 for installation/removal. Great deal if Costco prices always include it.

Where does one by a "closeout" bosche?
