You know you're an experienced SDer when you don't trust the sale price on the retailers site (ie $520 off) and instead you look at what you can buy it for elsewhere to know what your REAL savings is 😀😀

The whirlpool got dinged for poor drying of plastic dishes (1/5) and a manually cleaned filter. The Maytag cons were no third rack and noise.

My old GE dishwasher was atleast 10+ years old and it worked great, before replaced with Whirlpool.
But the Whirlpool is only 3 years old and it is not up to the mark... it doesn't wash the dish properly... rest of the function works great. Looks like circulation pump issue.
so I'm skeptical about Whirlpool quality.:-( Nevertheless this is a good price.

I'm in the USA… and my dishwasher doesn't have a lock, it was made in this century!

Here I was looking at the $400 Maytag, then the $500 one here, now you're going up to $700.
Meanwhile, my dishwasher works, but it's just old.
they can refund installation fee if the installers denied the service. not on your end. installers can deny installation due to many issues like your house is not up to code or cant run wires/pipes on certain house constructions.

you cant even remember turning on your dishwasher. how do you expect to remember locking your own door? locking your door requires more physical strength and maneuver than pressing the power/wash button on your dishwasher. yeah, i know it's inside and hidden from your view. but thats really a big deal or a good excuse. i wouldnt blame on my electronic door lock if i forgot to press the lock key just because its too quiet or its not on auto lock mode. at least use my own common sense. listen if the thing operates before i walk away.


living in the usa got nothing to do with forget locking your own door or more security.
