Can someone give me some examples of a good use case with this? I'm tempted, just not sure what I'd use it for, LOL

Drawing, digital art if you have a pen.
Writing, research if you have the keyboard.
I still use my pro 4 for both.

The biggest con among other things is the Microsoft store. Horrible apps/games. Best use is business apps like CAD and office. Pen and keyboard are always expensive and usually always sold separately.

These are a strange product. I'm not sure that you wouldn't be better off with an entry level iPAD just on performance alone. I wish these had an x64 Ryzen chip and they'd be great.

Yeah the a15 iPad mini is quite a bit ahead on raw performance vs this and the same price. Note that ARM windows is not compatible with many x64 apps.

If you need a computer, this is a great option. If you can get by with a tablet that uses a phone operating system, then an ipad is fine.

That's the thing. Is that this probably closer to a mobile experience than it is x64. This is an ARM based machine, meaning you are limited to apps/drivers built for ARM windows which there is far far less of than iOS. You are worse off with this than the iOS app store in terms compatibility and available software.

With Windows 11, you can now basically run everything. To varying degrees of success mind you.
Some people don't like relying on mobile OS (iOS specifically) due to everything moving toward subscription model, difficulty managing files, updates that kill apps which may or may not get abandoned at any time... The list goes on.
Apple products are slick and even reasonably priced if you buy older models, but they're still not for everybody.

It's a slow computer, by modern standards, but great for mobile work. Terrible on your lap. Cellular is a big plus. Better than iPad for multitasking and browser. 8GB memory is a no go except for single app usage, IMO. I've had several of these.

I agree with the above comment. Didn't realize Surfaces still existed. Isn't the market just Samsung and iPad at this point.

Yes, they're still around because it is a super portable windows device for office work. I'm considering getting an i7 version as my primary workstation. You can connect it to a docking station and use your large-screen display and keyboards. You can use it as a laptop with its optional keyboard, and you can also use it as a tablet. Windows 11 also has a built-in Android emulator. It won't be as good as a dedicated laptop or tablet, but it is still powerful.

Didn't realize Surfaces still existed, where have you been for the past ten years? I'm running a Surface Pro 7+, i7, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD as my only computer. I use a Surface Dock and there's nothing I haven't been able to accomplish.
