Just an FYI. This is in the Yakuza series, but goes by the Japanese title of the series translated over. It is a spinoff of it.

In Japan, Yakuza goes by Like a Dragon. But since this is a historical era game in the series, it makes more sense to call it Like a Dragon: Ishin! rather than Yakuza: Ishin! (because it isn't about the Yakuza, but is a spinoff of the series).

You're correct, but it's Like a Dragon because that's the new name going forward for every game in the series which is explained in Yakuza 7.

For those downvoting here's a link explaining why they changed the name [digitaltrends.com].

It's floating between 7 to 8 with a lot of people. For a spinoff, it'll be enjoyable.

Got it on the ps3 when it first came out and loved it. Not sure if the remaster made it more modern, but I'm not too sure the gameplay holds up super well over all that time. Story was pretty fun with Sakamoto Ryoma and the Shinsengumi. Definitely worth it just for the story and reoccurring characters if you're a fan of the series!! I'll probably buy it again after the inevitable price drop.

Seems to happen with every Yakuza game so I'm glad I waited. My favorite franchise by a mile, but I'm busy on P5 Royal which is easily the longest game I've ever played.

It's a trend with most games (there are exceptions, such as if it's a first party title, especially if it's Nintendo and Switch). If you wait a few weeks, you have a good chance of catching it on sale for less. It's also best to build shopping lists for the holidays when the deep discounts happen on a lot of games (a mix of old stuff, but some prior releases in the year also drop low too).

Unless you really are craving a game at release that you want to play, you can be rewarded with patience by waiting. $30-40 is a great sweet spot for recent releases after several weeks of waiting.

It will be on PS Plus premium in the next 6-12 months. Every single Yakuza and Judgement game is one there, so if you can wait why not wait.
