Oddly the spec doesn't say anything about an Ethernet/NIC card. The pictures show one.

I picked a refurbished MSI ip from woot at the first of the year. Liquid cooler went out and it took MSI 30+ days to replace. They will not cross ship. Their customer service sucks. Luckily woot refunded me $200 and I ended up buying a Corsair cooler. Would not recommend. MSI

I purchased refurbished msi from woot. DOA. They sent replacement after a long time. second one was also bad. I wouldn't trust msi refurbished from woot out from anywhere. MSI support was also subpar.

12600k $200, z690 mobo $100, 600w psu $80, rx6800 $400, 1tb nvme 33$, 16 silicon power ddr4 $30, aliexpress air cooler $22, thermal paste 6$, cheap case $40

200+100+80+400+33+60+22+6+40=906$ and its not a refurb, save $480 bucks and build yourself.
Hmm less than impressed, you went from a 3080 to a rx6800 which on average is 30-40% weaker than the 3080. So to get that 3080 back you need to add another $300. Then you downgraded to some cheapo air cooler. Than lets not forget you went to a weaker process with less cores. Also omitted an OS..

Your build is okay but its not comparable. That being said MSI refurb meh, I would be wary.

yup. i read about those water cooler issues, but i figure i know what to look for in the first 180 days. it sounds likle you came out ahead with the discount at least so not a terrible outcome.

i actually cancelled the alienware r14 ryzen 7 5800x rtx 3080 deal that was taking forever for about the same price out the door. better/newer cpu here, ddr5, future proof chipset/mobo, better case, non-proprietary parts... worth the risk for refurb imho

you low-balled every major part and are still way off when using the same GPU which is the most important part. 12600k is $235, z690 mobo $130, RX6800 is $485, 1TB NVME $45. Why don't we just make up prices on everything or take used Ebay prices without noting it to create unobtainable complete builds. Not that a Woot MSI refurb is the most recommended system but at least use real comparisons.

Just wait for the 4070 launch, it will make price matching all 3080 prebuilts easier on PC part picker at $599.

lol, every pre-built deal has the same discussion about saving money building it yourself. in the general case, apple to apples i don't think anyone is arguing that, but no one ever factors in labor/time/troubleshooting. it's not rocket science, but i buy pre-builts because i have a gaming hobby, not a computer maintenance and troubleshooting hobby Big Grin
