The price isn't terrible, but just looking at the internal pictures it's clear you won't be able to upgrade much.

The motherboard is proprietary, the power supply is proprietary... Basically you would need special adapters to get a conventional PSU to work with the board if you wanted a more powerful GPU in the future. But if you just want to get gaming you could do worse as far as prebuilts go.

You could however build a better gaming PC for less or about the same:

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/jJNtzf for example

The 6700xt is typically about 10% slower than a 3070 at 1080p, which means it's still substantially faster than a 3060 and still also faster than a 3060ti.. so for around the same money you could have a CPU with better gaming performance and a GPU nearly two-performance-tiers more powerful.

You subbed the 8 cores 5700G with a lower end 6 cores 5600 that's about $100 cheaper.

(Although yes there's no reason to use a G cpu when there's already discrete graphics.)

There is a decent cost of time in building your own PC. Does the motherboard in the list work with 5th gen processors? Is there a wifi/bluetooth in this build?

you're also stuffing a 6700xt to PCIe 3.0 motherboard, w/o USB-C ports of any kind, and missing the keyboard and mouse.

Where are you seeing that the motherboard and PSU are proprietary?

They're skimpy, sure, but you're not buying this with an extensive upgrade path in mind.

I bought an i5-12400 version. You need a 10 or 14 pin adaptor to use a regular PSU. But the 500W PSU is very good, power 3060 100% without its fan even spinning and stays quiet all the time. I ended up without using my old 750W PSU. The CPU fan actually has holes dimension for AMD cpu. I upgrade a 90mm tower CPU fan without problem. I removed the HDD for a 2T SSD, so I do not hear HDD spinning.

Looks similar to the Costco Lenovo deal, this one with AMD, while Costco was i7.
Upgrading RAM is easy but I am not able to get the max rate cycle of 3200. Anyone know which brand/model of RAM to use to get the correct rate cycle of 3200 on these builds where you cannot chance this in bios.
