$429 with Milanese loop is amazing deal. I came from a 4SS and bought a used/mint 7SS about a year ago for $550. The 4 has a $30 trade in now at Apple and T-Mobile, it's ridiculous. Graphite looks awesome.
As you may recall, 5 added always on, 6 added oxygen sensor, 7 added a 1mm size, 8 added the temperature "indicator" and crash detection. 4 and up have 64-bit chipset, 5 and up have the potential for international roaming. Anything else was not really noteworthy.
I have gotten used to the always on display and would not want to miss it now but the 4 otherwise did the trick for health and fitness. I don't find the O2 sensor to be too accurate. the graphite with the Milanese loop looks super elegant, IMHO. But for anyone still on aluminum, this may be the time to upgrade. the SS with sapphire glass is built like a tank and so far has held up amazingly well.
When you receive the watch, put it on the charger and just walk away for the afternoon.... these things have been sitting so long the batteries are super dead. Have bought several in my family and each one had the green snake of death. But leaving on the charger long enough wakes it up and no issues once fully charged.

Was waiting to get the next Apple Watch Ultra, but at these prices and my preference for SS, it was a no brainer to pick one up to replace my Series 6 aluminum case for the time being.

Yea I'm torn on this. Have an S5 that has been a work horse and has a bunch of scratches from stuff around the house and working out. Still totally functional but idk I sort of like the crash detection in the 8. Decisions, decisions

you forgot to mention the all-important crash detection that goes off during skiing
edit: NVM, you did slip it in. My bad
This is a great price! I got mine from the previous deal for $459 and love it. At this price I might convince my wife to upgrade from her SS series 3. Thanks for posting OP!

Not the same league as "the green ones for $279."
