$429 with Milanese loop is amazing deal. I came from a 4SS and bought a used/mint 7SS about a year ago for $550. The 4 has a $30 trade in now at Apple and T-Mobile, it's ridiculous. Graphite looks awesome.
As you may recall, 5 added always on, 6 added oxygen sensor, 7 added a 1mm size, 8 added the temperature "indicator" and crash detection. 4 and up have 64-bit chipset, 5 and up have the potential for international roaming. Anything else was not really noteworthy.
I have gotten used to the always on display and would not want to miss it now but the 4 otherwise did the trick for health and fitness. I don't find the O2 sensor to be too accurate. the graphite with the Milanese loop looks super elegant, IMHO. But for anyone still on aluminum, this may be the time to upgrade. the SS with sapphire glass is built like a tank and so far has held up amazingly well.
When you receive the watch, put it on the charger and just walk away for the afternoon.... these things have been sitting so long the batteries are super dead. Have bought several in my family and each one had the green snake of death. But leaving on the charger long enough wakes it up and no issues once fully charged.
I bought for $459 a month or so ago and just chatted with Walmart and they refunded $30 plus tax. If anyone else did the same get a refund before it sells out.
Based on info from apple website https://www.apple.com/watch/compare/, the graphite and gold SS both use same PVD coating, so gold could have same scratch issue as graphite. Seems silver SS is the only SS version without scratching problem.
Green one wasn't SS with this band. This band is at least $70-$100.
$50 on Woot a few weeks ago, but yes, it adds value. More valuable in my opinion is that the green case, while subtle, manages to clash horribly with most of Apple's band colors

2/9/23 and delivered on 2/16/23. It does not show as returnable but I bought a face cover at the same time that says returnable until 5/15/23. That either confused her or she was just nice. It would not refund me initially and she said give me a moment and 2 minutes later she changed the price in my purchase history and I got an alert from the Walmart app that basically said the price in my cart had changed and a refund of $32.xx will be applied to the card I used. Either way it's worth a try and I spent maybe 10-15 minutes tops.
