That air conditioner is gonna be a sweet deal. It may be only 8,000 BTU but it's a dual hose which makes it a great price. I've been keeping my eye on AC's for a long while now. I actually got that one specifically from Costco over the weekend and paid $473 for it. Gonna request a price difference when the sale starts.

Not really any reviews yet on this and I haven't taken mine out of the box yet since it's not yet the season but I've had different Hisense products throughout the many years and never had an issue before.

I recommend to anyone that doesn't know much about the different between single and dual hose and wants to learn, go watch Technology Connections video on Youtube about portable air conditioners. Very interesting and informative.

They used to be $49.99 on sale for $39.99, but that was for a pack of 6. Now, it's a pack of 8 and a better deal because the unit price is $6.25/brush head compared to $6.67/brush head for the old 6-pack.

Seems like the sales for 2023 are finally getting better, last year to 1.5 have been pretty bad IMO

Out of curiosity, where did you read that? The C3 just came out, and I assume the warehouse model will be out soon (already listed on the LG site) so they would want to clear out the old.

Costco floor managers have posted. And the price end date is on the tag in store.

We ordered the Hisense 8,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner online. It is $30 more than picking up at the warehouse but also worth $30 to me not to spend the time picking one up. $350 is still a great price for a dual hose portable A/C. Especially with the 2 year warranty, almost everything I've seen has a 1 year warranty.

Do enlighten me why that is.

The policy guarantees your satisfaction. If I bought some bars, tried it and didn't like it, why shouldn't I return it?

Shoot, I just picked up two bags because I needed some and the raised bed/soil conditioner bags that were on sale would not have done well in containers, I'm sure. Think I can get a retroactive price match next time I go in?

Also, the Snapdragon Miso Ramen cup noodles that are on sale again this month are pretty terrible. Definitely do not recommend. The pho by the same company is great, I don't know how they dropped the ball so hard on cup ramen instead.
What's the final price? I can't see it even when logged in.

Which do you prefer? the midea dual hose portable air conditioner or the u-shaped window unit? I'm leaning towards going the portable route since installation seems easier and I'll also be installing it upstairs so it seems more ideal.
Missed this, sorry. Window units are always going to be more efficient. I am not allowed to have them in my HOA, hence the portable. Having said that, the window unit has as support it sits on so you will need to hang out the window a bit to set it up.

There is only one review on the website and it's 1 star. What is the return policy on a unit like that?

Agree. I dunno if the policy applies to food but it really shouldn't. If I was a grocery market owner and a customer bought a pack of steaks from me and came back asking for a refund cause he didn't like the taste, he can go kick rocks.

I just bought this to test it against the recent LG single hose 10,000 btu air conditioner, which was also posted here on Slickdeals. After testing both in the same room, the LG unit is way better, especially considering the 50% off sale price of $324.50. Time will tell how long it'll hold up, but long story short:
The LG controller works instant compared to Hisense's remote. It's not a big deal, but it gets annoying when everything I click registers with what feels like a five second delay.

The LG portable AC blows cold air from the start--it actually feels like a window mounted ac rather than a portable one!

Hisense's dual hose ac was okay, but it definitely didn't get as cold as this LG unit.

The Hisense unit seems to run more efficient. It turns off once it hits the targeted temperature, whereas the LG unit seems to run more often. I've heard it stop once for a few seconds in the past 30 minutes.

Hisense is slightly more quiet, and they have two-year-warranty. LG only has one year, and the washable filter arrived bent. I'll probably contact customer service for a replacement after this.

These are my first impressions, btw.

I noticed this does heating. Anyone have experience with this? Living in the north east I might snag one or two to heat a 550 sqft space. This is going to be way more energy efficient than a regular space heater.
Yeah, I tested heating. Downside is it fills the inside with water that has to be drained when using heat mode. AC does not. I ran it for a couple hours and it was a healthy amount of water. I allowed it to drain straight into a bucket and didn't leave the plug in.

It is a heat pump. So more efficient.

I notice it has two drains. Did you use the top or bottom one? Thanks

Read the review, could be that person is technically inept as well.

I picked up the Hisense 8,000 BTU portable AC yesterday and hooked it up today in this early spring Philadelphia heatwave. Works great. Cools way better than the single hose Delonghi I returned several years ago after a month of use.
That thing made one side of the room hot and humid while a small area around the unit was cool. Single hose portables are a complete joke.

I got mine at the Mt Laurel, NJ warehouse and there was just one left on the floor after mine. I have to believe they'd have more in the back since this is the first week of the sale.

I had no issues connecting to Wi-Fi.

Great unit and the Costco deal is insane for a dual hose 8,000 BTU portable.
