Their return policy [dellrefurbished.com] is a bit harsh; they say that if you return something you'll be responsible for shipping charges and a 15% restocking fee. However, defective items are returned at no cost to the buyer (this happened to me - bad hinges). While their FAQ does say that they check out "defective" returns fully, and you may be charged the restocking fee if it is determined not to be defective, I was credited back my full purchase amount (including shipping) once the computer was in UPS's tracking system. At any rate, I would not attempt to cheat the system by claiming something is defective if it isn't.
They did send me a shipping label, although I had to wait on hold about 30 minutes until someone picked up. They did not respond to an email request for return.
If you buy one of these laptops, check out the battery right away [pcmag.com]. Mine was at 79% capacity.

I contacted dell for a return and they said unless it was "functionally" defective there was nothing they could do. The rep told me I probably couldn't smell or was I smoking in my house!
I could return and pay the shipping and the restock.
I would caution not to buy.

I have found little/no difference between "A" and "B" grade, BTW.
As for "refurbished,"...That basically means a reset of the OS.
Got one laptop where several of the keyboard keys didn't work properly (returned it for a refund).
Got another laptop that would fail the diagnostics tests right out of the box (cable error). I had to open the laptop and reseat the touchpad cable, which someone had apparently moved when they replaced the battery. Clearly, the "refurbisher" didn't even bother to do a basic diagnostic suite.
