You can install NOD32 using an Internet Security key. I do it all the time. See point #8 here:

I am a little confused. Why bother with NOD32 when Internet Security has all the features of NOD32 and then some?

I like the product and have been using ESET for a while now, but 2 licenses for $26 is getting up there in price! Used to be more licenses for basically the same price (or a little bit less).

Instant activation date upon purchase.

Don't buy this thinking you can activate it later when you need it.

That must be a really new thing. Never been my experience with purchasing ESET from Newegg.

The secure banking feature has been causing a lot of problems for some people. ESET asks if you want to open a secured browser when you go to your bank's website. Sounds great right? Well it's not great when using Windows 10 and ESET opens ancient Internet Explorer instead of the default browser for the system! On Windows 11 it will open the correct browser but then the browser can hang rendering the feature useless. ESET was so great up until late last year. Now I am rethinking my choice for the Internet Security because it's been such a pain with the secured banking browser. If NOD32 were to go on sale at a better price than this I'd be more in favor of buying from them again. After my licenses expire I will probably go back to BitDefender or something else.

I just checked my email from NewEgg. Sure enough the email states the license expires one year from the date of purchase. This is absolute BS. No more ESET for me for this reason and the reasons in my previous reply with Internet Security mucking up the secured banking browser. Too bad. Used to be a good product that Internet Security.

Appreciate the confirmation. I'll also be moving to something else.

You can removed IE from Windows:

Control Panel / All Control Panel Items / Programs and Features / Turn Windows features on or off

Uncheck the "Internet Explorer 11" box. I remove it from every new install.

And damn, this is sad news for Eset unless it is limited to sales via Newegg (?)

It's not SUPER new. Been this way for at least a year or so.

I got screwed by this change too and ESET was worthless in helping me so one set of 3 keys went to complete waste.
