I have never purchased a refurbished TV from Microcenter. I have one on hold. Would I be able to inspect the TV first or is it usually boxed up?

I was going to go with a 65 inch as it's a small living room but I am thinking 77ish would like fill up the wall Smilie

Im going to wait for at least a C2 to get to 2k though. I plan to game and play computer games on it
77" , do it……. If you buy anything smaller you'll regret it

Oh dang, so much I don't even recall! I did stare at it for a while to see if I noticed any differences. Seemed brighter, but hard to tell in the warehouse.

Just picked mine up from Denver Microcenter a few hours ago and setup the TV. Looks brand new and in good shape. Mine has 110 hours of usage when I checked the settings menu, was hoping it would be lower but oh well. Sitting in my living room watching some 4k videos on it right now. The TV is a beast and the box is full of cardboard and protective Styrofoam so it would be a mess to unbox it at Microcenter but maybe they would let you if you were real concerned.

The B7. After just under 4 years of use the panel started to degrade. I know people say "burn in a non-issue with these new oleds" but they said the same about the B7 when I bought it. Rather safe than sorry.
Same here my B7 panel had major burn around the year 4 mark and now it's barely watching so I need to upgrade soon

Did you pick up an extended warranty? I'm still debating if the burn-in protection is necessary if we just watch movies once in a while on this.

I didn't buy the Microcenter warranty, the TV comes with a 90 day warranty but I also bought it on a Chase Freedom credit card that extends the warranty for 1 year even on refurbished items according to their terms when I checked it. I might also purchase a warranty through upsie.com for it which I posted about earlier in this thread. They offer complete TV protection including burn in for just $4 a month. So $4 a month to protect a $1800 TV is not bad, I just wonder how difficult their claim process is since I haven't read enough about upsie.com but hopefully it's legit.

You don't really need burn in protection if you're just watching some TV/Movies on it occasionally. Burn in is more prone to happen if you have static images on the same spot for a long time like if you game and the same HUD elements are displayed in the same spot for hours every day for months.

Thanks. I never knew Chase provided extended warranty protection; I'll just be using that.

Picked up the refurb from Microcenter.. TV has about 86 hrs usage.. Everything was packed like new, except no batteries for the remote or printed manual lol.. no big deal but just pointing it out.

While checking out, the cashier did mention extended warranty and when I specifically asked about 'burn-in coverage' he said it's covered and gave me a print out stating that clearly as well ( will take and attach pic later )

That plan is for 2 yrs / $299 and covers burn-in! You have 30 days to buy it if not at the POS.

Still playing around with the settings, but for now.. cable ( ATT Uverse ) generally sucks ( as expected ) .. Oh, you must enable 4K for each HDMI input ( it's off by default! ) It gets plenty bright and I have it in a very bright room with huge windows to it's left ( facing West ) and visibility, thus far, is a non issue!

Also received my Samsung 75" QN90B ( Samsung EPP/AAA deal - now expired ) this morning! Applause

Excited to set it up and compare to the LG C2 Cool
