I'd get something like Upsie for the first couple of years at least.. I believe its about $50 per yr or you could sign up for a monthly plan. Steelers 1986 posted about it here.. worth looking in to!
Yes, they are refurb'd by LG. But, Microcenter does have burn in coverage for $299/2yrs .. Will post the print out later today.
There's a setting in the menu to enable it. I find it pretty annoying tbh!
While checking out, the cashier did mention extended warranty and when I specifically asked about 'burn-in coverage' he said it's covered and gave me a print out stating that clearly as well ( will take and attach pic later )
That plan is for 2 yrs / $299 and covers burn-in! You have 30 days to buy it if not at the POS.
Still playing around with the settings, but for now.. cable ( ATT Uverse ) generally sucks ( as expected ) .. Oh, you must enable 4K for each HDMI input ( it's off by default! ) It gets plenty bright and I have it in a very bright room with huge windows to it's left ( facing West ) and visibility, thus far, is a non issue!
Also received my Samsung 75" QN90B ( Samsung EPP/AAA deal - now expired ) this morning!
Excited to set it up and compare to the LG C2

Both TVs were compared side by side, same settings ( as much as possible : my own, and then copied from rtings.com ), with the same cable / roku / blu ray / YT programs, music videos etc and my living room is pretty bright ( huge sliding doors to the left side ( West ) of the TVs
The Samsung is also ridiculously heavy in comparison!
The LG is a keeper for sure!
For those wondering on Microcenter extended warranty cost, at least in Midwest this was the quote:
$299 3 year (w screen protection);
$269 4 year (without screen protection)
$189 2 year (without screen protection)
From other threads the screen protection may or may not cover burn-in. After my Sony lasted 19 months I'll get as long a warranty as possible, haven't decided on this refurb with the C2's hopefully dropping. Convince me to wait 😀
