I have an Omen for work, and it might have one of the worst laptop keyboard I've used in the past 10 years. The keys are narrower than on most keyboards, and if you need the Delete key... its right next to the Power/Sleep button for some extra fun accidental keypress action. For some reason they placed the Pause button where the Delete key is supposed to go on a TKL because of some boomer decision probably. Tons of deck flex too if you hate that. Other than that the laptop is fine and what you would expect. Heavy, giant power brick, pitiful battery life, loud fans, so so 16:9 screen, decent chassis, ok trackpad, fast CPU/GPU, and the whole general desktop replacement works in one package. It has some very odd bluescreen bugs if you view any sort of video playback and move videos between the laptop screen and an external monitor. That includes in-browser videos, Discord, Slack, etc. No battery care function either if you care about that. PD charging is a maybe too. They list it in the spec, but I've never seen it work with any charger.
That said I would seriously wait for a further price drop. They class this as competing with like a Lenovo Legion 7 or Asus ROG Strix, but its more like in the class of an Asus TUF laptop but with better performance and a less ugly chassis.

You have a Omen does not mean this Omen is your Omen and your whole argument is based on that assumption, without specifying a single details about "Your Omen". There are couple of in-depth reviews available for both 2022 and this exact 2023 model. Why don't you check those 1st?

To be more clear, I have this omen. Its a 17t-cm200. So sorry, but there were no assumptions. We have these issues across the entire fleet. We also had issues with our 16t fleet, but we're locked in on these unfortunately because of some poor higher up decisions.

I have the Omen from last year with an i7-12800HX and RTX 3070 Ti and didn't face any issues. Yes, there were some minor hickups but nothing that can be fixed with very little tweaking.. And can you explain about entire fleet thing? I mean how many do you have and are you buying these for reselling? Just curious because people normally owns one of these laptops for a specific generation. If I remember correctly, HP just started selling these 13th Gen Omen 17 2 to 3 weeks back at most.

I would be glad to give more detail. I believe we have about 40+ 16t-b100 models from last year (likely similar in specs to your Omen with a similar but with a smaller screen, and slightly less wattage i7-12800H and RTX 3070 Ti). The biggest issues these exhibit are the aforementioned bluescreen bugs and a weird issue with modern standby where it will frequently crash and reboot if left to sleep for too long. We have less than 10 of the new 17t-cm200 models deployed, of which they have the issues I mentioned above. I've had mine since Monday of last week. We're not reselling them, but rather we deploy them as office PCs. I can't divulge too many details but I work for a small company in the PNW region. When I heard we were contracting with HP, I was excited at the prospects of us being outfitted with 835 G9s or something thin, light, and powerful. Sadly, someone higher up wanted gaming PCs deployed because they thought they were cool (seriously, that's the rationale), so we ended up likely with the incorrect tool for the job. We only deploy one or two SKUs at a time. That means accountants, engineers, managers, traveling sales, etc. all must take this big hunk of a desktop replacement everywhere.
If you want to try reproducing the issue, here's how to do it. First make sure all drivers are up to date and the latest firmware is installed. GPU mode can be set in either Hybrid or dedicated. Then: 1) Plug in an external monitor set to extend the desktop. 2) Drag a window with video in it (Youtube playing, Discord call, Slack call, Teams call, Zoom call) to the external monitor. 3) At some point, you may notice some weird latency when clicking and typing like the entire machine pauses while everything tries to catch up. This is the first sign that it's gonna crash. 4) Finally after a few minutes, the machine will bluescreen, crash dump, and restart.

Using Gaming PC for Office work where you need to have Custom build of the OS with tons of featurs disabled, hightened security features, lots of Company specific Security features in Network, Software, Firewall protocols, is not really a good idea. Have you thought of the fact that those were creating he issues because these laptops are not really built for that. That's why people normally buy the Business Laptops for normal work and dedcated Server / Workstation laptops for heavier work (Renderring, Designing, Huge Code compilation or Data Processing) as those laptops come with proper BIOS / Firmware and toms of configurable Security features to do so.
I have the last year's Omen 17t with HX series Processor which is quite different than the 16 model, coming with normal H series Processor and almost same as the CM200 you are having. For my personal usage, it does not exebit any abnormal behaviour.

Hey, you're preaching to the choir here. I didn't make the decision, so I didn't think about any of that. If it were up to me, I'd have a HP Dragonfly Pro!

What I am saying is that saying that this gaming Laptop is bugged with tons of problems based on its forced usage as a Business Laptops for a company is not a true assesments for its intended usage which is personal usage, mainly for gaming and other demanding tasks.
I think the base price has changed on this; I can only get this down to $2258.99, not the listed $2168.99. (It's $2509.99 minus 10%; the base price of the laptop is $2499.99 now (described as a $100 base savings). Maybe it was different when this was posted? I made similar comments on the i7-13700HX deal, which seems to be a similar situation.
Does this thing run pretty cool and quiet? i hate loud fans in a laptop
I have an old one with 1060 GTX, no issues with fan noise. Still working great; snappy, and no issues with BSOD. I use mines for 4k output (monitor), multimedia use, and light gaming. No issue with output of 4k, all is smooth and snappy.
