Not sure which model is a good mid-range or up.
This is their best model that has dial controls and built-in programs.
Differences from some other models:
Propel 750 - just released looks identical to the Pro 750 other then the pitcher is dishwasher safe.
Ascent 3500 - Digital controls and can use other programs via bluetooth. Can also use other accessories and smaller size pitchers.
Lower model numbers in the different series will either not have built-in programs or offer fewer numbers.
I wasn't sure about so much money for a blender.
I absolutely love it! I use it almost everyday. The preprogrammed functions are great as well. The self cleaning one is so helpful as well.
I'm really happy with it!
