BR Factory is not remotely the same as BR. The discount clothes are made for the factory store only. I've purchased better made items from GAP.

100% agree. No one should get sucked into thinking these are just items that didn't sell through the main BR store. They're cheaply made to sell cheap.

I have quite a few clothes from BR Factory. They've all held up well and look great in an office environment. In contrast, I bought a sweater from Gap and it had discolorations after the 2nd wash.

BR Factory is not remotely the same as BR. The discount clothes are made for the factory store only. I've purchased better made items from GAP.

D grade Materials. Regular Banana Republic uses B and C grade materials.

Clothes from here aren't awful quality or anything, as someone else said probably around the same as Gap. I dont really consider even the Banana Republic regular retail store to be great quality either, but its a little better than this but only a little.

That being said yeah shopping at the BR Factory Stores only ever makes sense if there's a sale like this one with some solid deals.

Recently started buying a lot more items from Banana Republic and their Factory store. Really love some of their items. They are clearly above the quality overall of their other chains like Old Navy/Gap, H&M, Express, Uniqlo, etc. Great sweaters. Love their untucked version of button-up shirts (I'm 5'7). The discounts make a lot of their items very much worth it. I recently copped one of their leather Chelsea boots. Amazing quality for what you're getting. Really recommend.

I understand it's arguably a lower grade than BR. But as someone who hates shopping for clothes, this is the 3rd spring In a row I've taken advantage of this sale I'm always really satisfied for the value and quality I get for the price. Want nicer spend more. So far none of my items other socks have worn out from these sales. Solid office clothes.

I'm still baffled why Zara stores are not popular in the US. Never seen anything from there on SD either.

Pity. Bc you can always find good apparel there

Have you bought anything from Old Navy? I have. Most of their items I have are topnotch quality especially most of outerwear items such as zip hoodie. Few zipper hoodies, and normal jacket I have bought look designer and very classy, not only in their superficial quality/texture but also in perfect fit. Same goes for many Gap items. On the contrary, there are items I bought on BR factory on sales, and many are visibly dull and bad quality both in color richness and texture. I don't know why everyone keeps trashing ON. ON is not ghetto like in the 90s

I bought some linen shorts and tops from them a few weeks ago, specifically for our trip to Italy this summer. I'm really happy with them so far. Quality seems good, and the fit is nice. I think the sizes run slightly big, but I'm ok with that. It's been years since I bought anything from BR, but I really like what I got. I think the linen outfits will be perfect for summer vacation and travel.

Agreed! Old navy quality is superb for active wear and also baby clothes! Plus they have all cotton dresses with pockets!
