This has been my experience with the majority of the subway coupons I've received. You have to go out of your way to make sure they accept it before you order unfortunately.

Doesn't the Subway app/site not let you use your gift card - or part of the gift card - if it doesn't cover the whole transaction? I seem to remember that happening more than once some months ago

This has been the case for me, making me add funds to the GC balance with one of my CCs when my GC balance gets low. It's very difficult to even get close to a zero dollar balance, often making one purchasing something they don't want or just having to leave between $0.00 and $0.99 in there. Incredibly archaic and quite annoying.

The thing for me is, I always say to myself I never want Subway again, but then always find myself in the middle of nowhere at a gas station that has a Subway. LMAO

keep in mind with subway GC you can't use the remaining balance with a credit card. you'd have to reload to the next dollar amount, in the end 99% of the time you'll end up with less than dollar remaining on your GC
