oh man, I was tempted when it went on sale at sweetwater.. but at this price, ok, I'll bite. One faded blue burst ordered.

Number 1 tip I have, relax the grip. If you use the same strength to fret on an electric that you do on an acoustic you will send the strings out of tune. It's also easier to unintentionally bend the strings since they're so much lighter, also leading to out of tune.
Second tip, don't jump straight in to dirty/distortion/fuzz/etc. Keep it clean. Distortion can hide problems you might not know are there.

10lbs for the Gold Burst one. Yikes 😂. That's Les Paul weight. Not very "Semi-Hollow".

I'm going to go out on a limb and bet that when you receive it you will not be able to tell the difference between it and a brand new non-open boxed one! I bought my telecaster through them, and that's exactly what happened.

I bought an American Acoustasonic Telecaster from them that was open box. It was definitely a return and had a couple issues, but luckily nothing I wasn't able to fix. Hopefully this one is good.

I tried the acoustasonic and I tried the tailor TZ5, I just can't play those hybrid guitars. Sorry to hear you had issues with them.

That just looks like the weight webstores enter in for the weight for shipping purposes/with box. They have SE Custom 24s as 10 lbs, too, and those are in the low 7s to 8 lbs.
