Yes, you'll just have to go to devices and remotes on your AppleTV to pair it to the new remote

The newest one charges with USB C and I think that's the only difference.

Completely different level of hardware. Nothing really amusing about it. Not to mention, I see zero ads because I don't use anything apple with the box. Just static icons with suggestions for the particular app I select above. Quite nice.

And I'm not an apple person by any means, but I do like my appletv over my ts4k and ccgtv. My firetv cube is still in the box, and I gave my 4k stick to my sister. The only thing I miss is casting, but I keep the Google TV boxes connected for just that purpose.
