Thanks OP! Took a few tries to place the order, kept saying the product was unavailable. Kept trying and got it to go through.

$396 regular price is ridiculous. $99 sounds about right.

Not a bad deal for 2ah batteries. These are great for drills and other tools that don't require a large amount of juice. I've tried using them on lights, vacuums, circular saw, and sawsall but they either drain very quickly like with lights and vacuums or in some cases the overcurrent protection kicks in with the circular saw or sawsall.

I'm migrating from blue to red simply due to pricing/availability of deals. I'm not a contractor, so red works for me.

That's because they all go to the 36V tool packages, lol... I've got 8x 5AH and 2x dual fast chargers from two tools: their track saw, and 14" chainsaw

$25 per battery is hella cheap.. I'm tempted, but I don't currently have any M18 tools besides weedwacker/blower.. and this would just open the floodgates to more M18 tools heh

I don't use these anymore. I use the compact high output 3.0 and the 5.0 and the 9.0. I get more power and runtime with the others, and I don't need to charge my m18 batteries as often. My hackzall gets extra umph with the bigger sizes. But this size is good if you regularly use m18 drills and impacts. The high output 3.0 doesn't add much in terms of weight and footprint compared to the 2.0. But if you want something that is light and compact, that's what the m12 line is for.
