I'll give you some brands in this price range I'd personally buy over this. if you want a better steel than 4c13 but visual preference is also a thing. It may be that general brands would help, just cause you've heard of kershaw/gerber brands doesn't mean they are putting out good products, especially these low cost Chinese made ones...

here is a couple mainly the brands, they go on and off sale often

Sitivien ST128 - sub $18
Sitivien ST121 - $20
Sanrenmu 7010 - $22
Ganzo G729-GR - $22
SOG Knives Aegis - $19

there is a ton more, but just some examples. I also got the CJRB crag for $22 in feb which i'd say is significantly better, even has a powder steel blade. Spend $10 more or wait for a sale check out petrified fish or ruike which are both quite good brands for their price range.
there's also plenty of cheaper knives on amazon with D2, 9cr, 12c27 etc that would be significantly better than this one. Saying "it's $22" isn't really a good reason to buy this kind of knife.
4Cr now. How low can this go? Bring back the Surgical stainless.

I have this one and I love it. Lightweight and low profile, it's easy to forget you're carrying it

It's a $22 knife. 4Cr13 is a perfectly fine knife steel whose performance characteristics are more than the vast majority of serious knife users will ever need.

My uncle gave me a Kershaw. I spend more time sharpening it than using it.
I have a Blur and it's American steel and I spend more time sharpening it than using it. It will sharpen to a razor, but getting it there and keeping it there is horrible.

Yep. I've gotten to the point that I rarely use mine. But, it's very pretty.

Sweet looking knife, but I agree with the rest - blade steel makes it a waste of $22. I'm not a huge Kershaw fan but I'd rather spend $40 and get decent steel (or $60-80 and get a high end steel).

Also got this on the last deal and it's been my EDC since. Even with two brand new Leeks (which were much more expensive)...this is in my pocket.

Took a bit to get used to not having a thumb stud, but it's easy now. Nice knife. Does dull, but easy to sharpen.
