Last quarter Tesla delivered roughly 420,000 BEVs.

Ford delivered barely 10,000.

GM delivered barely 20,000...and 95% of those were the Bolt still using last-gen batteries

Latest data suggests Tesla has now passed brands like VW, Subaru, Mazda, and BMW in total US market share- as in Teslas EVs vs all types of cars from those brands…as well as Tesla holding the majority of ALL US EV sales.

That doesn't seem much like "struggling" from Tesla.

This is pretty econ 101 stuff... Tesla is continuing to scale production 35-50% higher every year. If you can easily sell 500k of a vehicle for X dollars, but now you want to make 1.5 million of them, you probably need to lower the price to find those extra 1 million buyers. That's not cutting prices due to pressure from the competition (which largely still does not exist in the US in any significant #s because legacy continues to be incompetent at scale production of EVs)- that's cutting prices to greatly increase your TAM (total addressable market). Thanks to Tesla having 2-3x the profit margins of everyone else they can easily do this while continuing to rack up profits... meanwhile Ford and GM are in no hurry to make more EVs because they lose money on each one.

Toyota still blaming chip shortages for lack of supply. Lol

Can you show me where I can get a Corolla that does ~3 seconds 0-60 and low 11s in the 1/4 mile from the factory?

Will it also come with a exceedingly capable ADAS system that does 90% of the driving work in most conditions?

it is not.

It's not going away from any model or config from Tesla.

It is being reduced to $3750 for one- specifically the RWD Model 3. All other configs/models that have the $7500 now will still have $7500 after April 18.

14-30 usually.

Yea GM is the leader they sold two EV hummers in the last quarter. Couldn't even sell the cheaper Bolt either. Bolt is like $20k or something not including dealer markups.

thx for these tips!
The tesla wall connector is 425. the grizzl-e is 400+ depending on wall model. Not really saving much? Personally to save and have enough power I did the nmea 14-50 outlet and just use the mobile charger which is ~230 from tesla and you can find cheaper often on FB. the 14-50 plug can also be used for my camper or other items.

Sure, if you have $48,000 in cash laying around and can buy next week. I personally would go with the bolt. It's almost $20k cheaper and pretty much the same car.
The bolt is so ugly it makes the Geo Metro looks great.

wen $25k Tesla Model 'Poor' coming out guys?

Technically there's a really narrow window of time and income you can stack both state and federal incentives and get a RWD Model 3 for as low as $25,490 in Oregon (April 17 is the end of the window)

Otherwise the next-gen vehicle is expected to begin production by late 2024 but probably not at scale before 2025.

So $41,000 - $7,500 - $2,500 = $31,000 final price
How do you get $25,490?

Good call out. Mobile charger is cheaper yet. Fortunately, when i got mine it was still included, but now it's a separate purchase. Even so, still cheaper than any permanent wall charger setup. The grizzl-e I got was the model with the NEMA 14-50 plug so I can take it with me if I ever move.

I should also mention I got the one with the longer plug because my outlet is at the back of the garage so having that extra length allows me to either back in or drive in normally without having to worry about the cord reaching the charger port. Everyone's situation is different.

You are probably saying in jest but that is reality for many SD.

btw, I don't know if anyone needs to "be seen" in a Tesla. It's a pretty common basic car nowadays, like a RAV4 basically (which is not a cheap car either) especially in tree hugger states. I am not advocating getting a Tesla, just for sure not a Bolt (unless that is really all that you can afford).
