Tesla nickels and dimes you. You have to pay for mobile charger, charger installation, non-refundable order fee, extra delivery fee, etc. It adds up. Chevy doesn't make you pay for any of that.
Yes, you buy a charger. So what? Its $250. I did my own charger installation. Every car ive ever bought had purchase fees and so have yours. I had no delivery fee and I drove ten miles to pick it up. Best car Ive ever owned.

Yes, i guess so are just so above all of us, huh, not caring what kind of car you drive at all. Good for you.
Agreed! The Tesla models with their overly tall canopies designed by engineers vs designers to compensate for the battery array are oh so sexy!! Oh that ugly bolt, silly car.

Huh? Maybe according to CNN. Are you saying you trust the news more than actual Tesla owners? Lol
Tesla is a software company not a car company. The value or profit maybe is t in Tesla branded cars but their software

I like Teslas, but I want a large SUV like the Kia EV9. The EV9 will start at about $55,000, get about 350 miles per charge, charges from 0 to 80% in 20 minutes and has a 10 year/100,000 mile on motors and batteries (5 years/60,000 bumper to bumper). Another option would be the new Ram Trucks, up to a 500 mile range.

To tax credit and April 15th. You better order soon buddy.

Nothing changes on April 15th.

Something DOES change on April 18th- but not for the Model Y he said he wanted to order. All versions of the Model Y will still have the full $7500 tax credit available going forward with no cutoff date.

All versions of the Model 3 will too, except specifically the RWD one-- which will drop to $3750 on April 18th.

I bought a Tesla and most Tesla buyers don't tell the truth about EVs. YouTubers say only good things about them and they don't tell the truth.EVs are really fun to drive and faster than any other vehicle I drove. Technology is good too. But, 1. Phantom drain 1-5% battery drain per day just like any smartphone. You don't lose gas when an ice vehicle is parked. This is really bad when you forget to charge and you park your car at the airport or family or friend's home, where every mile counts. If you use sentry mode, you can lose 10+% per day. 2. Glass top really gets hot and you need to have the AC running while the EV is parked, which uses the battery a lot. 3. In the winter, the battery loses the range a lot. 4. You will have the charger connected all the time because of 1 2 and 3. Once you buy an EV, you will know. So, is it really saving money when it's plugged in all the time? And super charger is expensive.. same price as gasoline. 5. When you travel with an EV, expect to add at least 1 hr time to 3-4 hr trip for charging and getting to the charger. If you really want an EV, buy also an ICE vehicle.

I think you are just using power while the car is parked because you believe you need to keep the interior cooled for some reason. Turn off cabin overheat protection. I've had it off for years now. Tesla is not even the only car with glass roofs.

This is from the manual under cabin overheat protection:
"This can prevent the cabin from getting too hot after leaving it parked in the sun, making the vehicle more comfortable when you return. Cabin Overheat Protection may take up to 15 minutes to enable once you exit the vehicle. This feature is intended for passenger comfort and has no impact on the reliability of your vehicle's components."

Yes. For customer satisfaction but at the bottom of the list next to Lincoln for reliability. Tesla owners refuse to admit they made a mistake after paying so much.
Agreed. We all bend over forward at one point of another to try to justify our backward decisions!!! I swear to this day I will get my boat out on the lake again soon! 😉

So much misinformation here.

Carplay or Android Auto? Buy Teslamirror in the app store. Works great. I watch Youtube while I drive (shhhhh)
Can't take a 300 mi dive? Seriously? 20 min stopoff on an automatically routed Supercharger and load up. You never have to stop for gas since you home charge, so this time saving is still significant over gas station fill ups weekly at 5 mins each minimum.
Someone said there's no cost savings on a 500 mile drive vs. gas? Where do you live, Saudi Arabia? It's 1/3 the price vs. gas in CA and even more savings most everywhere else.
The price is dropping because the tax credit is slashing, not because of popularity. The car will still be more expensive by $6500 for most people in 11 days. So the buyers will drop off, they need to reduce pricing on the manufacturer side to compensate and keep sales high. Remember, they also make money from the Supercharger network and subscriptions. Sell the blades, not the razor.

Seriously, do you guys have zero analytical skills? I'm no shill, there are minor issues (yes, it gets hot and range has problems in the winter, but I'm in SoCal so I don't care). If you have an over 100 mi daily commute or drive, it's probably not the car for you. 99% of people, range isn't an issue. Hell, I'm in Los Angeles and I can keep it topped off daily using a standard outlet.
See bruh, you are exactly what many described here about Tesla owners. Never want to admit the negatives and making excuses for things.

BUY something when you already spent $50K+ on the vehicle when $20K vehicles come with it standard.

Making excuse for the lack being able to drive 300 miles going 75mph but telling us to just accept it and deal with it seriously? That doesn't solve the limitation. Seriously not everybody wants to stop 20-40mins

PGE will continue to raise rates in CA, NEM 3 is in effect and purchasing solar ROI is longer or not worth it. The gas prices have fluctuated, and when it dipped in the low 3s, all of a sudden the Tesla crowd grew quiet with that line you used. Yet electricity rates have and continue to go up. Supercharging rates are going up.

Your narrowminded view is showing your hurt by the truth of Teslas today and as more people are starting to see it and the boujee rep of Tesla is starting to diminish you are throwing outlandish reasoning and trying to use your acceptance as the view for everyone in the world?

Please bruh.

EV is the future but not now. It's still in it's infancy and its nice to watch you and the others do the preliminary testing of it. EVs wont be mainstream until it can achieve 500 mile range going 75mph in ideal conditions, because when its not, cold, battery degradation, accessories on etc, it will offset and still get 300 miles. Now getting 200-220 miles is the more norm for those who actually drive and use it everyday for all scenarios. And at $50K+ that isnt cost effective compared to ICE

If its your weekend warrior car for fun or quick sprints sure, i see that like those who have a sports car or something, but for daily driver--again for all occasions, ICE is still better

So even if your breaker box is 50 feet from your garage and you need to add an additional box they will pay that $2500+?
Certain states have incentive (e.g. $1,500) for electrician to install the EV charger.

Here in the Bay Area I also see the superchargers being used very often. In the year that we have owned our M3, I have not once used a supercharger. I'm wondering if these people live in apartments where they don't have home charging. My commute is 70 miles a day and I don't have any issues home charging at all.
I believe that is the typical Bay area lifestyle. Spend on material things, fancy cars, designer bags, but live in apartments, rent rooms, live with their parents even after 25, 30, and even 40s. Laughable but anything for the gram

That's their guess of course...

We do have REAL repair data to look at instead however.

Where we find, much like in customer satisfaction, Tesla is near the absolute best in the industry.

Latest data available on warranty rates by brand is here (from late 2022)

https://www.warrantyweek.com/arch...21006.html

The number is warranty claims as a percentage of sales.

Some bad brands (lots of warranty problems) are VW at a horrendous 4.5%, Kia at 3.0% and Ford and GM both at 2.9%

Better brands include folks like Nissan at 1.2% and Toyota at 1.0%.

Guess what Tesla scored? 1.1%. The second best brand of all brands sold in the US.
Tesla is like .000000% of the market, apples and oranges

Tesla will continue to drop prices as they have 5 times this year. Best to wait until June. Stock price will be at sub $100 a share and inventory thru the roof. Model 3 will be 35k and Model Y starting at 40k.
