Can someone help me explain the tax credit before and after April-18?

IRS Website says only MFJ under $300K income can get the credit. Is it current situation or after April-18?
Do we get no tax credit if our joint income is more than 300k or do we get some of it but not all?

https://www.irs.gov/credits-deduc...3-or-after

I'll try to help but I'll probably get corrected again lol. As I understand it, you get no credit if your modified adjusted gross income is greater than 300k if married filing jointly. You can either use the your modified AGI year of delivery OR the year before your delivery, whichever is less.

dropping the model 3 only $1k makes me think they did that on purpose with the intention to do a $3k-$4k drop when the tax credit expires, and even with the $1k drop model 3 inventory has been piling up

If you don't qualify for the tax credit you shouldn't be spending 50-60k on a car.

7500 you need to make at least 75+k a year.

Below that should not buy any ev until they become affordable

90% of population should not be buying ev or over 30k vehicles
People who make over $150000 or $300000 for joint filers also do not qualify.

Model 3 dropped $1000 BUT the $7500 tax credit is going away, so not really a price drop unless you have cash to buy one before April 18

It's being reduced to $3,750 for RWD M3.

Sure, if you have $48,000 in cash laying around and can buy next week. I personally would go with the bolt. It's almost $20k cheaper and pretty much the same car.

Is this a serious statement?

Tesla nickels and dimes you. You have to pay for mobile charger, charger installation, non-refundable order fee, extra delivery fee, etc. It adds up. Chevy doesn't make you pay for any of that.
you don't have to pay for a charger you can get a generic one for 120$ and install it yourself

Not true at all. The battery defect has been corrected in the replacement batteries. The fire risk is no longer present. Plus, the batteries were upgraded in the older Bolts to 66 kwh.
