Except, wait....some people might actually care what their car looks like???

Yes, i guess so are just so above all of us, huh, not caring what kind of car you drive at all. Good for you.

Edit: I am not crazy about the looks of a Tesla either. I get it, it's polarizing. There are some people who love it and some who don't. But at least it's not a Bolt. Don't get me wrong, a Bolt has its place and purpose. A good-looking stylish car, it is NOT. I think every non-Bolt owner (and probably many Bolt owners) will agree to that. I think if you are in a professional building parking lot, being seen walking out of a Bolt would be downright an embarrassment. Ok, some of you are above looks and materialism, good for you. The rest of the world doesn't operate that way. You can potentially find the president of a company drive a Tesla, but you are not going to find one driving a Bolt. Not the president of a real company with 50+ employees (unless he/she is so big and rich he is doing it just to prove a point like Bill Gates). Let's be real hear.

Comparing a Bolt to a Tesla has to be the dumbest thing I have ever heard. They both have their merits and their weak points, but they are COMPLETELY different types of cars for different target audiences. It's like comparing a Bolt to a golf cart. Both do their jobs well, just meant for different purposes. So stop with the stupid comparisons.

Thanks for the materialistic shallow post. Anybody that relies on a car for their self worth is truly sad.

And yet the battery comes with an 8 year warranty...lol...
Model 3 RWD warranty is for 8 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. But an average person drives ~15k miles a year, so 6-7 years actually checks out.

Tesla nickels and dimes you. You have to pay for mobile charger, charger installation, non-refundable order fee, extra delivery fee, etc. It adds up. Chevy doesn't make you pay for any of that.
Destination fee !
Chevy dealers markup. and added bs option…
Chevrolet bolt still a chepo ev way overpriced.

It'll cost you $20-$25K to replace the battery every 6-7 years. Don't buy this POS, you'll regret it.

I mean, the battery warranty is 8 years and 120k miles on LR 3/Y, 150k on S/X, 100k on RWD 3- and tons of data show these go hundreds of thousands of miles on original battery-, but it's your lie, tell it however you want Applause

The reason cars are not selling is due to
...your imagination.

Q1 deliveries just released last week and they were, yet again, a record high. They're selling like crazy.

Honestly, if Tesla adjusted to the market a year ago, I would have been driving a Model Y right now, but their pricing pushed me towards the Ioniq 5 and now the words out the Hyundai is actually a very nice car.

I think the failure to read the market competition is going to hurt them in the short term.

FHA figure in 2022 is 14,263, which includes drivers 16-19, 65+, and people who are not working. Average male driver 20-54 drives well over 15k per year.

A silly question but if someone could answer please.

If I don't meet the criteria for the rebate (higher income), could a friend buy the car and then I buy from him? He would qualify for the rebate. Is this doable at all?

kinda ironic considering many Tesla owners bought theirs to inflate their self worth. I think the model 3 is ugly and the S albeit dated looks nice. Aesthetics are important in clothes, cars, furniture etc. But to each their own

Technically this is tax fraud, as the credit requires the original buyer to be purchasing with the intent to keep the vehicle.

That does not mean anyone will notice or come after you of course, and the above should not be considering legal or financial advice Smilie

Personally I wouldn't risk it. Not worth running afoul of the IRS or compromising your friend.

But you should seek advice from a tax pro rather than soliciting it on Slickdeals where most of the posters are trolls
