If I made $300K a year, I'd buy a Tesla for kicks. As my sole vehicle, that's suicidal. It's a freaking golf cart.

California, the highest populated state that sells more Tesla than other 49 combined, is the litmus test. You really need to get with the times and stop living in the past. The Bay Area has flourished since Newsom and Bonta have been in office, and crime is down significantly. The commercial RE vacancy rate is nowhere near 40%, and Coldwell Banker has been proven wrong on their assessment of The City. And if Nancy and her husband are moving, it's likely because they've made a fortune off of their investments in the Bay Area, and now they're ready to move on to the next venture. So, you need to stop spreading false information and accept the fact that the Bay Area is thriving.

You think you have it all figured out, but your facts just ain't true. Tesla has been expanding their supercharger stations all across the U.S. - not just in Ardmore, Oklahoma. California may have its flaws but it's still a great place to live. And the Mexican restaurant that became a Chipotle? That's just the way of the world - it's called progress. But don't worry, there are still plenty of great Mexican restaurants around. And don't forget, California is a leader in the EV movement. So don't knock it 'til you try it - EV's are the future!

Edit: I am not crazy about the looks of a Tesla either. I get it, it's polarizing. There are some people who love it and some who don't. But at least it's not a Bolt. Don't get me wrong, a Bolt has its place and purpose. A good-looking stylish car, it is NOT. I think every non-Bolt owner (and probably many Bolt owners) will agree to that. I think if you are in a professional building parking lot, being seen walking out of a Bolt would be downright an embarrassment. Ok, some of you are above looks and materialism, good for you. The rest of the world doesn't operate that way. You can potentially find the president of a company drive a Tesla, but you are not going to find one driving a Bolt. Not the president of a real company with 50+ employees (unless he/she is so big and rich he is doing it just to prove a point like Bill Gates). Let's be real hear.

I see the Tesla haters are still active. I thought they would give up once EV became mainstream but they keep thinking EV will go away once Tesla dies 😂. Fools, Tesla is making 2 million cars a year and they're expanding like crazy.

They're trying to hold on to their free oil money as long as they can I guess.

But honestly, without the Tesla hate bots, here's the real story.

No, Tesla is not the most honest or ideal or perfect car company. There's a lot lacking. They keep getting cheaper and cheaper. Customer service is horrible at some of the service centers, but some are good.

But here's the problem. Every time a new EV car company pops up, or every time a mainstream company promises to go EV, I get very excited that there's finally a Tesla killer. Unfortunately, every single time, they end up being even more disappointing than Tesla. At the current market reality and prices, Tesla is the best option.

I'm hoping my next car isn't a Tesla, and I'm eyeing some of the newer Kia and Hyundai cars, but the performance, features and price isn't just there yet.

I believe the future is plug in hybrids with gas back up. And GM quickly realized that fact. That's why they killed the Volt or any further development of the technology. Go look up their history and why they did that multiple times. (hint: it's similar to the story where a few car companies got together, bought the rail system in Los Angeles and just killed it several decades ago. They made billions of profits from that move to the detriment of the public). Imagine if they put a plug in hybrid with gas backup in the equinox. It will be the best selling car in America.

Tesla isn't the performance monopoly it used to be. Their newer cars have a cheaper feel to them. And I think the FSD promises are just BS. There are going to be a lot of big changes in the next decade with other companies. And Tesla will come down from its peak. But until then, it's the best option right now.

Hybrids have no future. If you think anyone will maintain and replenish gas stations for vehicles using gas as a "backup", you're lying to yourself.
Same reason hydrogen is a dead end. No one will invest in the infrastructure.

I'm very tempted by the Kia EV9, the Hyundai and Kia vehicles have come a long way. The Genesis G90 is also very tempting, but not an EV.
