I've had a model 3 for 4 years. Best car I've ever driven still. The only time I have to drive a gasoline car is when I travel outside the country for vacation. I hate every time I have to do that. I simply can't go back. I put about 100 hours worth of research into Teslas before I bought mine. Trust me, you are WAY undervaluing Teslas. Try driving one…for most ppl they can't go back to non-EV cars after

Seriously if you're gonna post FUD at least try and make it stuff that hasn't already been debunked multiple times in this very thread- for this kinda nonsense I can just cut and paste the debunking--- EVs catch on fire vastly less often than gasoline cars.

Gas cars do it so often nobody bothers making SENSATIONAL HEADLINES about it though.

I get the fear from many posters here, these legacies employ allot of old jobs that are getting replaced, imagine all the jobs Apple took from Blackberry and Nokia, now it's happening in the car space, smart cars displacing flip-cars.

This isn't the government cutting buyers a cash check, it's a non-refundable credit so it's simply the government requiring less of a cut of your income for the year you take the credit.

If you deduct a knee replacement surgery as a medical expense on your taxes do you think I should own part of your new knee?

It's GM/Ford's legislation, Tesla was against it back when it was first passed for GM post-bailout of $50B that never got paid back.

Tesla was against rebates this time too, because it was never a demand question, but production/scale/supply.

Yet gov decided to pass this to bailout legacies, trying to exclude Tesla with price limits, but it backfired when Tesla flexed its muscle with a price war.

So by all means, send those laggards your bill. I'm still waiting for the bailout I paid for to get re-paid.

Even people who drive less than range of smallest Tesla (270 miles) in more than a month combined will say, hey I cannot buy this because of it has less Range?

Don't look for answers outside, look at your own use case, How many times you will need to drive more that range of the Car in one go? While for the rest of case is covered with Tesla (or any other Electric Car with 200+ Miles), even for this specific case where you will do a Road Trip, Tesla is covering you best as compared to other Electric Cars with High Speed Charging as well well supported Supercharger Network.

Compare Car to Car in the same category, E.g. you cannot compare Prius or Bolt (less powerful) to Model Y (More powerful). I mean do we compare Rav4 with Corolla? Highlander with Rav4?

Then comes Gas Economy, Do we compare Prius with Rav4 Hybrid?

Then comes the packaging/loos of the Car, Do we compare Lexus with Mustang?

Just do your own analysis, your needs then test drive the car and you will figure it out. With all the Federal and local rebates Tesla is very good option now. It is same for other Electric Cars (or Rav4 Prime) last year when they were eligible to these rebates and Tesla was not.

Ordered our MYLR 1/13/23. Tow hitch and 7 seats in grey. $68k after taxes and licensing. Arrived on 3/6 here in Seattle. 1k miles in and it's been hard to drive any of our other vehicles. It's become our primary automobile. Already saved quite a bit of money in gas. Roughly $300 over 1k miles based on $4/gallon and 15-20mpg in the wife's Yukon. 👍
We were a GM family and still own our Sierra Denali. Tried the bolt EUV and gave up quick with the lack of inventory and dealing with the dealerships and mark ups. Loved our experience with Tesla and their service. Wish more dealerships took a page out of their playbook. Maybe in the future. 👍

I did rent a Y recently and thought it compared favorably to my Bolt. Maybe if it was $10K less, I'd consider one.

I guess that puts me in an ID4...

Say I'm a 25 year old recent college grad and want a Tesla. I'm in an apartment and park in an open lot. Am I out of luck? What do people do who rent and don't have garages or power in their rented garages? Am I stuck with a hybrid?
