The life * products were designed to be sold in best buy (it's now expanded a bit past that), the Q* are sold elsewhere including directly from anker , otherwise there's no real difference other than branding.
For those on the fence I have been using my set of these for just over a year with daily outdoor use and have absolutely no complaints (note I do wear a large knit cap when it is below freezing out.) If you want a set of affordable, decent performing cans with user adjustable eq and a transparent mode you really cannot go wrong at this price.
Edit: forgot to mention, one thing to keep in mind is out of the box. These have more upfront bass then either the q30 or Q45, some people prefer less bass and if you are one of those, it might make sense to get a q30 or q45 instead. For me, these are my preferred model of the q range.
All my headphones from anker last just over a year. I have these q35 and now only one side works. Super annoying. At this point worthless. Trying the akg for 60$.
That would suggest that this deal (with the 2 year warranty) would be a better option than new (which have an 18 month warranty so your cans would be covered. If they really are half dead after a year, contact them.) Good luck with the akgs (which have a 12 month warranty new fwiw) ❤️
Could anyone possibly explain the naming, please - why they call these "Life Tune Pro (Q35 Equivalent)" instead of just "Q35"? When I google "Anker Life Tune Pro", I don't get much info.

I also own this for a few months now.
Do you have issue with this feature?
Wearing Detection: The built-in sensor detects when you remove Life Tune Pro from your ears and automatically pauses the music. Music is restarted when the headphones are back in position.
Example: Sometimes when one side of the headphones is just slightly off position from my ear....the music will stop until I make some minor adjustment.
Sometimes I want it to be off-positioned on one ear on purpose e.g. to clearly hear others talking to me.
I don't know if there is any way to turn this feature off .
It can be quite annoying at times.
Other than that....it has been a great headphone with very good battery life.

some people might like that feature but I absolutely hated that as it screwed with me when I was gardening so turned it off in the app where you can also change the EQ. (if memory serves it's listed as something along the lines of automatically route sound when placed on head)

Thank you for the feedback. After reading your comment, I looked through the Soundcore app setting. I saw that there is a setting for 'Wearing Detection'. I have turned it OFF. Hopefully no more issue going forward. Thanks again.

Absolutely correct with this. This is what is sold at Costco also.

They were 80 at Costco, I wanted that but when I went to get it they were sold out. Got a 1more sonoflow instead and I'm so glad I did, and it was 80 as well.
I know xm3s are a bit more but I would try to pick up a refurb xm3 over these. I have both and the xm3 are so much more comfortable, sound waaay cleaner, and have far superior anc

How do these compare to the AKG's that are also $60? ANC, Sound, comfort, build in that order of priority.
I was waiting for the Sony XM4's and XM5's and they finally went on sale refurb from Secondipity but I couldn't bring myself to bite at $170 and $220.
These second tier cans, would you say the ANC and sound is about 85% of the Sony's and Bose and Sennheiser's?
I've tried the Sony XM3 and Bose Q35 lines and have a pair of these Soundcores. The ANC is more like 60~70% of the Sony/Bose equivalents. It works but is definitely a tier below the higher end brands. It doesn't completely block noise in ANC mode, even in an empty apartment for WFH. What I do like about these is that they're comfortable, lightweight, basic ANCs, and can have ANC in AUX mode without being 'on'. The inline mic via the AUX is great, whereas the onboard mics is terrible (honestly, all wireless mics are terrible).
I travel with these, but combine them with airpods so I can double block out engine and cabin noise. I have posted about these before in older threads and I would still recommend these. Cheap and gets the basics right, I wouldn't mind if they broke or gets stolen because they're a fraction of the price for Sony/Bose.

The q35 band broke on both ends, I did duct tape it and it still functions. The q30 never broke and the sound quality is almost the same.
