Good price, but 11-36 (i.e., typical mtb gearing) only. Also, I'm only sharing my own experience here, but SRAM cassettes and chains just don't shift as smoothly as Shimano and KMC respectively.

Some other deals:
Shimano 105 5700 11-25 10 speed cassette $25 [rei.com]

KMC X10SL Silver 10 speed chain $24 [rei.com]

KMC X10SL Gold 10 speed chain $27 [rei.com]
Cough cough, it is "gravel" gearing in the 2020s, thank you 😉

My gravel bike is 11-42T btw, and my MTBs are 10-51T...although I punish myself on my SS "stuck" at 21 or 23T.

Strange, can't check out. The REI site is perpetually stuck on the check out page prior to final review in chrome.

REI sometimes does that when items are OOS.

Heh, I stopped being active in bike circles in the mid 2010s, my fault.

I was about to buy one of these for my son's 1x10 but forgot that his rear derailer broke and it's running something like 1x5 with an old Shimano 7 speed short cage. I should fix that.

In my experience SRAM mountain bike cassettes shift just as smoothly as Shimano, especially in the 50 series and above.

SRAM uses 1:1 pull which requires more perceived effort to shift and feels less refined. Shimano does have a seemingly more refined feel due to the 2:1 pull ratio where a millimeter of shifter pull makes 2mm of cable pull, but this can actually be a negative in mountain bikes. Any misadjustment is amplified two fold due to the mechanical advantage setup of Shimano.

They are both super capable. If you want a nicer shift, go Shimano. If you want a system that can take a beating with less adjustment, go SRAM. If you want value per dollar, go Microshift, and you are totally right about the value of KMC.

Look into what you can get in a 1x10 microshift setup. It's incredible how cheap a super wide range drivetrain is now. $140.73 for a wide-range 1x10 with a clutch derailleur. $16 more for the lightweight casette.

My gravel bike is still running 3x9. 588% gear range. Lol.

Thanks, that seems like a good setup. I will probably go the bike kitchen route this time, especially since the thing only gets ridden about 10x per year, and he will have his license soon.

Very slickdeal and a great find! This is a superior quality 10 speed cassette for cheap. Perfect for 1x gravel setup. Light weight and strong.

Oh, yeah. If you have that option of a bike co-op, that's great.

I have this Cassette on my Zwift trainer and it's durable but a tad noisy. I have about 1000 miles on it and it still shifts well. I paid at least $13 dollars more on Amazon for it so this is pretty good.
