Order $50 worth of stuff. It knocks off $15, but when we pick up we get charged $15 for the gift card anyway which brings it back to $50. Still paying $50 total.

Check your account. The total for the items will be lower around $22-23 ish to reflect the item cost in case you return the items.

Assuming your order is right around $50 mark. Your order should be $50 - $15 discount = $35 total at checkout and charged to card. Your pickup order ready email should actually show $20 for the items, as the $15 gc is itemized separately. Your charge on your credit card should still be $35 (and you get the gc).

If that is not the case, then you did something wrong.

Are you sure? When I clicked on "add to my account," it did say it couldn't be loaded, but this happens all the time with Target. Basically, it's already added to your account, so it cannot be added again. Check your GC section, and it should already be there.

You will get an email for the $15 to "access my gift card." It will redirect you to target's website and you'll have to login to your account. It's gonna give you an error, but check your GC wallet and it should be there. I had the same scare

Let me sell it right.

You buy $50 (or close) of stuff, get $15 off, and a $15 giftcard that's redeemable after picking up the stuff. Total spent $35, $15 GC in-hand.

Every subsequent order, the $15 GC is good as cash, plus the $15 discount applies, so you pay $20 each trip, getting a $15 GC back every time you spend another $20 ($50 before discount).

Example. You go back five times.

50 * 5 = 250 bucks "worth"
minus 15+30+30+30+30 = $135 bucks. $250-135 = $115 spent.

And on top of that, you still have $15 GC to spend, so in total $265 worth of shit, for $115.

Noice!
