obviously ymmv, but costco screwed me over bad last year. i was taking my car in for free tire rotations, and whichever idiot worked on my car cross threaded two lugs on the car. it wasn't cheap to get them removed, and obviously the people working at the tire center evaded responsibility. definitely woudln't be beyond them to scratch your rims as well
The deal says "$70 Manufacture Savings + Free Installation + Additional Member Savings" but then when I see checkout, there's the normal $19.99/tire installation fee.
Do they just mean "$70 Manufacture Savings + $80 Installation reimbursement + $50 Additional Member savings?"

Are you leaving something out? Like you didn't know for a long time until you went somewhere else later?
They would never have gotten away with that if they did it to me. I hope you at least got your membership fee refunded for dissatisfaction. That could be $120 back for the Executive Membership.
I would have gotten both the repair refund and that. They have insurance for their mistakes/damage caused.
Meh. The Michelin Defender LTX is "Out Of Stock" in all of Costco in Texas that I have checked. Since Costco is closed today, I cannot walk in to order. and since its OOS online, it doesn't show the final price and cannot price match with Discount Tire either.

The fee will be there. I wouldn't really pay attention to how they break it down. At the end of the day, it's $200 off, and usually they max out at $150 off.
For many, Costco tire centers are too busy and the tire selections are too limited. I thought I did a smart thing by switching... But, for that, I got yelled at for switching from "gold standard" Costco Micheline to "inferior" Continental at Walmart for not caring about family safety...
I just got new tires last week and the appointments were wide open. Only waited just over an hour
