If you buy them but don't want them installed right now will they hold them or allow you to bring them back in when you're ready??

For many, Costco tire centers are too busy and the tire selections are too limited. I thought I did a smart thing by switching... But, for that, I got yelled at for switching from "gold standard" Costco Micheline to "inferior" Continental at Walmart for not caring about family safety...
Not to mention that if you ever have the to use the road hazard warranty to replace a tire, they "return" the old one at the discounted price and sell you the new one at the full price with no hope of getting a discount because you can only get that on 4 new tires.

I love Costco and their customer service, but the tire center and their policies are terrible.

I had two major tire issues last year that required a new tire on vehicle due to extensive road damage. The Costco "warranty replacement" ended up costing me about $200 because of way they "return" the discounted tire and sold me a new one with no discount.

Similar damage on another vehicle and Big-O charged $40 to mount and balance the no-cost replacement.

Thanks! I was just looking at their Bridgestone deals yesterday and figured I had a few days to make a decision and I'm glad I waited and logged on here today.

$800 for 4 Michelin tires with 80K warranty, incl. installation and 5% cash back using Discover. Oh yes.
What's the 5% cash back from discover?

They would never have gotten away with that if they did it to me. I hope you at least got your membership fee refunded for dissatisfaction. That could be $120 back for the Executive Membership.

I would have gotten both the repair refund and that. They have insurance for their mistakes/damage caused.
you don't know if your lugs are cross threaded until the next time you try to remove them. and I'm not leaving anything out. any cheap tire shop will scratch your wheels to get them mounted quickly, and not bat an eye. there's people out there getting te37's scratched because they went to firestone to get their tires installed, and costco isn't an exception. you really need to go to a performance car/tire shop to avoid this.

I was taking my wheels off to do a brake bleed after my last tire rotation at costco, when I found one of them stuck. Had to take it to a shop to get the wheel bolts cut, where they found another lug stuck. I wasn't the one that dealt with the tire center after this happened, so maybe I could've gotten the repair cost back myself, but they apparently pointed to a statement written in their policy that evaded responsibility. either way, it's a pain to deal with snapped wheel bolts. I'm doing my tire rotations myself now, which is pretty annoying.

They scratch my rims. I know it's was not scratched because I washed the car the day before and detail cleaned the rims. I was pissed and demanded to talk to a manager. They basically denied everything and basically ignored me. Told me to go deal with customers service which I did and was never offered anything to fix it. Tire center as t Costco is the only thing I hate about Costco.

I got the cross climate 2s from costco back when there was a sale for 150 off. Paid around 720 otd for my size. A week later Walmart had regular good year tires for sale around 450 otd. I knew i could get atleast 50k miles on the regular good years but im not even mad about it. These cross climate 2s were night and day compared to the toyota OEM on my rav4. They are much quieter, and give you confidence in what they exactly named, multiple climates. If you live south you probably dont need these, Im in the midwest.

My mpg dropped from 40 to 37 on my rav4 hybrid but was expecting it going from near bald tires to a new set.

I just got my first free rotation and balance done at costco, try not to go when its busy like i did on Sunday. Took almost an hr and a half.

I almost jumped on the CrossClimate 2 train, but the road noise was a bit much. The after reading about the MPG hit, I ultimately decided to go with the Bridgestone WeatherPeak. I've been on them for a few weeks in a 2020 CR-V. They have been excellent, but haven't driven them on snow yet. There are a lot of comparison reviews out on the internet. I'd suggest taking a look to see what would better fit your driving conditions before jumping all in on the CrossClimates.

There's a good 3rd party comparison on TireRack of the CrossClimate, WeatherPeak, and Continental Pure Contact

Are the Defenders2 overkill for my 2016 Honda Civic? I don't do a crazy amount of driving, and I live in SoCal so I don't deal with too much rain.

Premiere ltx vs crossclimate 2? I don't understand how the ltx is $270 and has 2 stars but the crossclimate is $250 but 4.7 stars.

Has anyone had luck getting a price match at Discount Tire?
Costco is just too far from where I live.

all 3 of my options are out of stock, wish they would take a rain check, $200 is good savings on premium tires. will probably end up ordering from tirerack again.
