One of the best selling safety razors on Amazon. If you ignore the Chinese products, this is probably far-and-away the biggest seller.
  • Extra thick handle
  • Reliable grip
  • The closest shave without multi-blade skin irritation.
  • Uses inexpensive double edge blades.
  • Durable and precise.
  • The Heavy Duty 34C HD is designed with a thick built-for-comfort non-slip knurled grip. The popularity of the 34C HD comes from its head which uses its weight to deliver a close and comfortable shave. Easy to use, it's considered the perfect starter razor.
  • Made in Germany by MERKUR Stahlwaren GmbH & Co., a leading worldwide manufacturer of quality classic shaving equipment since 1896.
  • MERKUR razors are produced in Solingen, Germany, following German high technological and environmental standards. Solingen is called the "City of Blades" and is renowned for the manufacturing of fine swords, knives, scissors and razors made by famous firms such as WKC, DOVO, WĆ¼sthof, Zwilling J. A. Henckels, Bƶker, GĆ¼de, Hubertus, Diefenthal, Puma, Clauberg, Eickhorn, Linder, Carl Schmidt Sohn, Dreiturm, Herder, Martor Safety Knives, and numerous other manufacturers.

A safety razor is much cheaper than cartridge razors, and since the blades are dirt cheap, you can always have a fresh, razor-sharp blade. There are many youtube videos and websites with info on shaving with a safety razor. It appears to be something of a hobby. This razor is frequently mentioned as a favorite and a great choice for beginners. This is a manly product, but women can use it too.

For a good selection of well-regarded blades to try out, get a sampler pack such as the following: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PVPK9PM/

For best results, do not use shaving foam from a can. Use soap or cream. Afficianados apply with a brush, but you can apply cream by hand. Proraso is an affordable Italian brand with a great reputation. Here is one of their best selling creams: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00837ZOI0/

The Amazon best-seller cream is Cremo here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009WQH8SA/

Good deal. Foam from a can is fine. I've been DE shaving for 15 years and have tried everything and have found I get a great shave from Barbasol.

There's duke Cannon in a can that's great. I mix it up with a brush and creams plus pucks but the duke Cannon in a can is nice.

You'll save so much money with safety razors.

The shorter one and the travel one are also on sale. I prefer shorter and I love my travel one but it's $45. It's super sturdy I've dropped it a ton which eventually destroyed the stubby one I had.

I use Astra blades. Get 100 blades for what that sample pack costs. I use a Leaf razor, so I get two blades from each blade. I use the Proraso in the green plastic tub. I melt the soap in the microwave and add in some peppermint oil and menthol before I use it.

If you are OK with lower-quality Chinese products (probably made by slaves), those are super cheap.

Buying from China is like buying from Germany in 1939.

This deal is on a famous model of a famous German brand.

For shaving creams, I'd say cremo is definitely worth a try if you've never used it before. I use the proraso cream that comes in a white tube - -you can use a shaving brush to make it foamy but I found that made no difference for me and just took more time lol

Buying from China is like buying from Germany in 1939.

This deal is on a famous model of a famous German brand.

Okay, China's got some weird communist stuff going on; And I'm all for buying from my local country first. But not if they can't produce a product or service with quality and a competitive price. Else it can't be free enterprise.

Sure there's some things some countries have that others don't. Those of course are what we should trade.

Beware marketing psychology. Not to mention government psychology. But they're too many businesses making disposable products and too many buyers accepting them today. Please research first.

Bans aren't going to stop competition. You don't have to accept a demonic one world government to participate in a global market! The horses left the barn with the market. You don't have to let your ass follow it though. If you don't define your country you have no country.

We can't keep blaming child slavery. Of course; which we are all against. Including China. So isolated slave drivers need to be put down wherever they are. But this is not the problem with products.

The problem is people think personal job quality is optional. Likely because we're losing our value perception; as an individual. Your choices are real. Interdependent (various groups) not just independent or codependent. You're not made by the impossible random chance of implausible huge amounts of time. Sorry if that's a shock to someone. You're not random. You have value independently and so then does everyone else, at base. You have been set up, fitted, gifted by design to choose Love or not. And without your actual purpose forever then even with great gains then what's the point if you lose YOU! You must choose to be true to yourself. AND you must find where you think for sure you are true and correct any missed fake truths. All your days! It's grow or whither. And it's about right thinking, for yourself. Just not with so called truths. Some of you are glorious rebels for crap. Consider the other master. Some choices are only one or the other. Many others are also both. A new and unruly little child (2+) is not the Master of his father's domain when CHOOSING poorly. The Master is in control, without removing anyone's actual choice. Just as if your child gets punched in school; it was not the childs father's choice. Just what to do about it. Whether or not it's a responsible father. See teaching is not slavery. Good teaching is freedom. Again, if we're calling good bad and bad good then real justice gets here very soon.

We all have a different expiration date, till the finish line. So don't spoil it. Just because we know the milk can't stay out on the counter for days does not mean we can leave it out, hoping to have more time until it's too late. And why buy your spoiled milk that's been tainted by lies? Consider the source.

So love for all; but who said that means crap is okay? You're not being unloving to correct evil. It's the nicest thing you could do. You've probably been taught that evil is a matter of opinion and this is your problem. Truth isn't relative. Yes even if everybody has a different opinion, about it. Because we're all wrong about something; all short of the glorious Truth. That's the point. The Truth is always right. Not changing for us. Buy learning from failure. Guess who changes, by correcting our self? The Truth or you?

And don't give me...'it's all man made-up crap'. If you said that then you just made up your crap. Just the same as the man-made crap you should hate(separate, not hatefulness). Love MUST hate evil or you got yourself some fake 'love'. You only need to know what isn't really crap and go from there. And yes there is a gold standard. Meaning obviously different precious pure and risen.

If we don't personally grow out of the 'wonderful' 'truths' we haven't figured out yet are really fake, mixed, pretence then you won't live with them much longer. And our time limit is more than fair, legally.

Happy Passover. The Truth is all you need, to pass.

I have large comments solely on DE shaving and myth busting thereof. All you gotta do is click.

The real shave soap you should use is cheaper than the bad for you Butane discount crap in any can. Bar, speed stick or cream. Because it lasts so much longer. And this is completely INDEPENDANT from your choosen shaving axe. Of course the reason is the best choices make a bigger difference when shaving closer. And dry shaving is never better, with anything (except now inexpensive foil for body; not face or legs). A 'close' foil is a costly waste. DE is much closer.

Also there are millions of products related to shaving; before you even get to exponential combinations. Not a bad thing. Just know; some of the top, best performers COST LESS than what you're buying now. So don't fall for the high priced stuff. Those are not even necessary. You really can get a great $2 holder, 6 cent double blade (with more total shaves, still like new, 3 to 8 times). And a hard shave soap with the stuff (superior lather up, cushion, and slip) can be had for LESS than a cheap bar of body soap.

Don't bother to DE shave without reading the real secrets. Else you'll just do it wrong cause you're stupid. Smilie There is a way to shave with no errors, even when trying mild, to even the wild, wide gap holders and a sharpest feather blade.

Pick your holder and blade. After a month you'll see custom cut and varying super closeness has zero rival. It does depend on you.
Don't blame the tool; as many will always do. Oh and this ain't ungaurded straight razor shaving!

Gillette died and an evil company uses it's name along with BS psychology to get you to over pay for their "advanced"again crap. Wet shaving was mastered with DE shaving. You can't invent around it you own way. I'm saying it's a known thing. You can find the secrets of the net; but they vary. Please find my posts as I rarely see it explained I did, at easy length. Not to slow you down (huge DE myth OFTEN propagated). But to start you right. Yes you have to get used to shaving this close; but with NO pains. But not after about a month, regular use. Then you don't high to we ever again. You almost have to try it, or again the right way, else you will never know. And can not even honestly judge. But many voices do anyway. You will not freaking believe it. Not the first month though. That's the thing. Gentlemen only. And ladies legs, if wise and not just vain and scared.

Big secret is holding the angle "out" and not going on to close. But there are slight differences too. But those come naturally as you would with any new razor.

Don't be confused. It's not much different than what you do now; but it is NOT the same dragging required and giving you worse shaves.

It's like you never had sex, and you long waited for it. And only just thought about it. LOL. You'll manage; but you had no idea. After about a month.

Just get a $20 or less adjustable DE holder(razor)and a 100 box of Astra green or whatever is 8 cents a piece or less! leave it on low gap for a month. Let your skin and hands get used to it and never ever ever EVER push and drag a POS cartridge into your face again. You'll see.

-YOUR DAD! Smilie

Safety is in the name. I never cut myself. The first blade removes the lubrication and the rest of the blades have none. It's a gimmick. You'll save thousands of dollars eventually I imagine although you're on Slickdeals...

You'll likely cut yourself finding the angle. Badger and Boar dot com is great. You can practice first on your arm!

I've got like 20 years of experience I do occasionally mess my stache up a bit which can suck. The have a "mustache" razor with smaller blades but I'd feel kinda dumb buying it...
