Where do you see this? It says "not consumer" accessible or upgradable. I think it you can upgrade it

This is not accessible to the user for upgrading. Look under the Specifications section, then Memory area, you will see the Memory chip amounts listed and the allowable upgrade options. Thank you for being an HP customer!"

I am not sure why you would even think that a second slot is open. It clearly says not available for upgrading. The other part probably means you should be looking at other configurations if you want more memory.
