The a07 lowest was $50.

So, this adds, bluetooth and tone control for $30, that's pretty reasonable.

Personally I'd still rather get the a07 as a purist, because you get higher Sinad (signal to noise) without the tone control circuits/ bluetooth chipset. But, for 99% of everyone else who's getting into amps, this makes alot more sense.

This BT20A Pro's SINAD is the same 83dB as the A07 according to audiosciencereview's measurements, even though it has tone controls and Bluetooth circuit.

I got the Douk Audio M1 PRO 320W Bluetooth Power Amplifier and have been very happy with it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 They power my Yamaha NS-AW350 outdoor speakers really well. Totally clean sound without any hiss or distortion. I like that it has the USB port for flash drives.

Are you talking about standby mode or full power with no input? I use my full sized pioneer with my tv and e-arc. It powers down with my tv.
Looking at this unit it appears it includes a weaker power supply than it can accept, and has limited inputs. That would be acceptable to me given its smaller form factor. The only thing keeping its boutique price is the limited market for it. These should be more popular. The last two full sized receivers I got used from shopgoodwill.

If you need full power from this little amp you're going to have to modify the case for active cooling. Really no point in upgrading the power supply otherwise, unless you just want to have very high peak amplitude.

These little amps with enclosed cases usually have zero air flow and will cook the electronics at continuous high power outputs. It's pretty funny that they just sell the next best amp chip when it's available, pump more power into the box, and usually upgrade the internal heat sink but do absolutely nothing for heat dissipation from the exterior or air cavity. I've been using several models of this layout of amplifier for years. The ones I wanted to drive continuously over 100 to 200 Watts RMS for parties or outdoors absolutely needed active cooling to stay alive with a 90% efficient D amplifier chip. Just something to keep in mind. This little amps are often marketing over engineering. If they can fit the board inside the case, they do... I still love them though they're very handy, I have a little wall rack with five of them in it driving different zones.

I've bought several 1Mii amps of this same style for $60-80 on Amazon and have been really happy with them.

Big features are the sub out when you need it and having so many inputs (RCA, 3.5mm, optical, and BT).

Would this work to replace an old receiver and pre-amp I'm keeping around simply to connect an old B&O turntable to passive bookshelf speakers? Would be so much cleaner looking.

I don't know much about turntables, but I believe you would need to hang on to the pre-amp (or get yourself a new one if you want something with a cleaner look).

You could replace the receiver but you'd still need the preamp for a turntable.

That's not this. You're looking for something like this:bluetooth transmitter [amazon.com]
There are many different options, just search for "bluetooth transmitter". Be sure to look for models that advertise low latency (and also check that whatever earphones you're using also support low latency). Check the reviews of whatever model you consider to see if people are happy with the latency performance. Trying to watch tv with a delay is a huge drag.
