I personally think since W10 came out that Windows Defender (built-in, free) is perfectly adequate for most people and uses.

I usually buy the Microsoft 365 + Nord vpn bundles, but my Nord is up this summer. How does AVG or Bitdefender vpn compare? And in this bundle, can you literally only use the vpn on 1 pc or do you essentially get a login so you can use those vpns on android, iOS, android tv, etc? Any help is much appreciated!

Agree with other comment, Windows defender. If it's good enough as the sole AV solution for the health system I work for, it's likely good enough for home use.

I have a sub for Office 365 from Amazon that expires in August.

I believe you can't stack this subscription with that one, but does anyone know if I can buy it now and wait to activate it?

I was coming here to ask about a sub to MS office. So if I buy the one you linked I can keep on using for multiple years correct? I only use word and excel for a few things. I think my old computer has office 2007 on it (not kidding). I plan on upgrading that PC from windows 8.1 to windows 10 so maybe I can just reload my office 2007 back on that PC after I upgrade it to windows 10?

Awesome, thank you. Now I can add 2 more years to my 2 years of personal from the Antonline deal and upgrade them all to family but paying $10/mo in 4 years or however that works... I've been waiting a few weeks for this thanks

Good question I'd rather use the AVG VPN without the antivirus... Be sure to enable the Pup scanning on defender there's also another setting you can enable to make it more competitive I don't remember which one though

Except when that windows defender consumes most of your cpu usage: more cpu usage=more heat =more fan noise. Just check task manager and see how that W Defender keeps your cpu busy. This apply to a laptop not desktop. I find avg AV doesn't give me that problem.
